Stayed for one week at smiley guesthouse before continuing my trip to greenway school. Food was great, straff was one of the kindest i have yet to meet and overall the visit was pleasant. Hard working people that tries their best to make the tourist satisfied.

Three positives: cheap price, real local experience and good location. Many long term volunteers and backpackers stay here. A group of volunteers moved in and said it was better than the last place they stayed because it had a shower instead of bucket of water. Otherwise, you get what you pay for. Customer service is poor with staff yelling at...

The guest house has definitely seen better days - the room equipment is quite basic and run-down, but the linen and towel provided were clean. It is located in walking distance from the night markets in a quiet back alley. The staff was ok, but not particularly friendly by the (high) Cambodian standards.

My friend recommended me that place, she stayed there 3 years ago and had a good experience. I decided to give it a go but it wasn't pleasant. The staff isn't very helpful, whenever I went to the reception to book a tour or to get advices, there was no one there. The room was a good size, the bed...

Quiet little guesthouse with very nice owners, and tuktuk drivers ! We booked them for the Angkor tour and it was very nice. Inside there is a little garden with tables and banches. Nice to stay after 3 days walking around the temples. 5 min walking to go to pub street area. Nice bakery around to have breakfast too :...

I stayed at Smiley Guesthouse in Phnom Penh - Great (except maid came into my room while I was gone after I requested no entry--didn't clean but brought in 2 bottles of water (already had 4) stayed 1 1/2 minutes to drop off 2 bottles of water). The Smiley's in Siem Reap appears to be a place of prostitution and...

A friend recommended me to come here because of the location and the size of the room. It's true the location is good and the room have a decent size. In addition to this, the patio could be nice (nice garden, nice light) but it's not due to the staff that is just the least friendly one I have ever...

For 10$, The double room was good, spacious, very bright, no mosquitoes, cosy environment. Nothing bad to say about it. But... No Tv, no wifi ( wasn't working because of thunder apparently but wasn't working either after it has been repaired). Except the old chap who sometimes holds the counter and is pretty fun to laugh with, the staff is...
