No question: Give 5 stars on the location - unfortunately property has a lot of visible mold (yes, it lies on a river, the humidity in South China, ...) but still unacceptable - locally management might cause small problems for non Chinese speakers

The wooden bridge is definitely a sight and this is in the middle of nowhere. If you want a private retreat, it's a good choice to walk the area and further up to 'Heaven's Point'. Unfortunately I didn't make it there as it was too hot for me and shows that I need to work out more on a daily... More

If you changed the river with concrete? Image 2and 3 If you covered concrete with Bamus? See picture only 5 The bamboo bridge and other bamboo bildings are unfortunately a fake. All filled with concrete. For me it's like many things in China a big fake. The TV gives more heat than the electric heater in the bathroom. Not both... More

We booked through a travel agency in Guangzhou and got a better rate that way than going direct through the hotel. The agency also pre-arranged a taxi to pick us up at the train station which was great to avoid all the touts and hassles. The drive took us a good 2 1/2 hours from the train station in Guangzhou...
