This is a very basic hotel. Two nights cost me about a quarter of what I spent for one night at the Pullman Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Hotel, and I would be hard pressed to say which was better value. The GZ airport hotel is a luxury hotel, and I received lots of extras, and it included breakfast. I use it whenever I am in transit through GZ. This Home Inn is basic. The bed was OK. The room was small, but for some odd reason, it has a big wardrobe leading into the old and a bit shabby bathroom.

The Home Inn in YuMin Village near the Shenzhen train station was chosen specifically for cost, and it served its purpose. It makes no pretense to be a luxury hotel. It is within easy walking distance to the SZ train station and the Luohu Port border crossing into Hong Kong. Frankly, in hindsight, it probably makes as much sense to stay at a hotel near the GZ East train station and take the train right into Kowloon.
