We booked the 6-bed dorm on Hostelbookers for RMB40/bed/night. The room we got was cosy and the furniture appears new. There are 3 double-decker beds, each with its own reading light and electric power point. The sheets are clean and towels are provided (although the towels smell as though they were kept damp for prolonged periods). Kettle and cups are...

I had returned from Chengdu after a 2 night stay in Traffic Inn on 19 & 23 Jun 2012. My friends & I stayed in their 4-bed dorm room that was clean & cosy. Though the toilets & showers are shared facilities, they are clean & well maintain. Their staff are also very friendly & helpful. Their location next to...

Cleaners knock on door to clean room (supposedly private ensuite) at 8am. If you don't answer within a few seconds they just use their key and walk straight in. Then if you don't want to get out of bed to let them clean immediately they don't come back so the room doesn't get cleaned. This spoiled an otherwise OK hostel...

We stayed at Traffic Hotel (2 star) which is next to Traffic Inn Hostel. The Hostel occupies the 2nd floor in the same building as Traffic Hotel. Traffic Hotel rooms have only LAN Internet connection and to receive WIFI we have to go to the 2nd floor lobby area. The room we stayed is clean, carpet looks old and cupboard...

Free Wifi and/or LAN access everywhere. Nice lounge and outdoor seating. Offers many activities (I didn't use any though). AC double rooms are actually located in adjacent Traffic Inn hotel, which makes them good value for money (no English TV, fridge or safe though; but kettle, slippers and bathroom amenities). Don't miss the local market area right behind the hotel:...

We decided to stay in Traffic Inn due to the location being good, but also because the other hostels in the top 5 rated on Trip Advisor were more expensive than this one! We paid 18 GBP per night for a double en suite bathroom, which was very nice. We were shown to our room upon check in - we...

Excellent service from all staff, friendly and fun. Best hostel we stayed in while in china. Private room spacious and nice bathroom. Only downside is price of things. Drinks expensive and so is the food. We did hear its cheaper to stay in the hotel which is connected to the hostel, not sure how true this is but worth looking...
