We stayed 2 nights there and were impressed with our room. We had two double beds, aircon and our own modern bathroom. It looked like the room has been recently refurbished. It was very quiet and within walking distance to Wuhou temple, Jinli steet and the underground. There is also a bus stop nearby if you wish to catch a...

We went to this place because an other hostel owner in Jiuzhaigou recommended it. The hostel is nice, has cheap eats and drinks, and the staff is friendly and helpful! We had to do laundry and had two loads, they charged us 20rmb and no extra charge for detergent which was nice! Yet the rooms have lockers and power plugs...

Hollys is a great place. Competitively priced with the Hostel next door. The desk staff are friendly, efficient, accommodating and knowledgeable. The room I had was large and clean, Wi-Fi worked. When I checked in I had not specified non smoking. When I discovered I was in a smoking room the staff immediately changed rooms for me. The dining and...

Travelled to Chengdu on the way to Lhasa, Tibet, and stayed at the Shu Feng garden hotel near Holly's. Our tour guide recommended giving the Shu Feng breakfast a miss and paying for it at Holly's just around the corner. We were so impressed with Holly's that we booked in there on the way back from Lhasa. The rooms are...

Clean sheets, goopd breakfast, funky hippy style 3rd floor terrace restaurant garden, great helpful staff, most speak some English. Great area of town, close to major temple and a walking street area (which is tastefully done...ish but very very very crowded on weekends....if you know China you know what that means, if you don't be prepared for feeling like you...

This close to an interesting part of town. I was also able to walk everywhere I was needing to go to in about 30 minutes tops. The area is safe. The place is cheap. The staff is nice. The visitors are wonderful.

“The rooms over the street are the largest, but they are noisy at night. Rooms along the hallway have the same amenities and are quieter, but it's the middle of the city so there are always sounds. We stayed in an ensuite so I can't speak for the dorms or shared rooms.”
