This hotel has very big and nice rooms. Comfortable bathroom. Very clean, nice personal. Breakfast lucks of European food, or its very unusual, for example hot orange juice. Only 2 elevators for such a large building, and sometimes you have to wait for some time....More
Great hotel. The only odd thing was that there was a partially frosted window into the bathroom (as opposed to the fully frosted window in our other Chinese hotels). My friend cunningly built a wall out of menus so that she couldn't see the toilet...More
China - if you're going to welcome overseas tourists, please employ at least one English-speaking person at your reception desk! It is truly frustrating to play "charades" when you are tired, and just want to find your room!

Though we did not arrange our own transportation in Chengdu we did in Beijing without any trouble. We just made sure we had the name and address printed in Chinese. I did a search using Google for directions and they were available in English/Chinese. FYI - The Holiday Inn Express is right next door so if you wanted to google that as well.
NOTE: Google does not work in China w/o a VPN so if you are already in China you would need to use another map service.
