Being a Colombian native and from Barranquilla, I had such high hopes for this hotel. There wasn’t one single good experience I can count from this hotel, first when they say free Wi-fi they mean in the lobby area since the signal is so weak it does not reach the rooms, there are no ice makers in the whole hotel,...

As a child, always looked at "the Hotel" with respect and devotion. After 35 years of absence, it was a shocking and sad surprise to realize 'the hotel' has passed through several hands and nowadays is nothing but a remembrance of its luxurious past. The Hotel has not undergone any upgrades, it's the same as from the 1930's. Only one...

Dear Danilom001, I hope you everything is great! Thank you so much for taking time to share your thoughts about your last stay at El Prado Hotel. It is really shameful to read that your experience didn't meet your expectations after 35 years of absence. You are 100% correct in your statement, the hotel has passed through many things over...

This is the most beautiful building and grounds. We drove up for dinner and gasped with pleasure at the beautiful setting. A guard finally let us into the bar on a marvelous balcony under a wooden canopy. We almost cried.light fixtures were Pulled off the wall, bulbs were out, a bartender finally arrived, and we had a drink and decided...

Dear HarrietTuscaloosa, Dear HarrietTuscaloosa, I hope you are fine when receiving this letter. After carefully reading your review, I´d dare to say that by the moment you were here, the hotel was passing through a transition from the old company to the new. This transition caused that the hotel was closed for few days. Nowadays, El Prado Hotel is running...

Hotel is over run by unruly children, screaming and shouting. The pool is filled with children unattended by parents. Hotel management does nothing to keep a lid on the situation. I saw children spitting in the pool and throwing objects in and around pool area.. Running jumping screaming all day long. The noise could be heard in our room. No...

Grandeur of another time. This hotel may not of had the care that it could have. But it is a pleasure to stay at nonetheless. Nice pool, very good restaurants, excellent service, friendly and welcoming. My room was clean, fresh and well maintained. It is like the original Raffles in Singapore, or the E & O in its former days...

We did not stay on property, but we did decide to have a nice dinner at the restaurant on location. Everything was very good. If you are paying in dollars then you just paid a little bit of money for a nice meal which is always a plus. Service was good and over all it was a nice dinner.

Such a shame that this historical hotel is shabby and dirty despite all the present staff, the state of this beautiful hotel is messy. Fault is not of staff's but management. We only had lunch on the pool terrace, can't imagine rooms... food was so so. Tablecloths were dirty cutlery chairs like mostly of the furniture aged and surely never...

The Colombian people are so friendly and nice, is hotel El Prado in Colombia? Because here they are very unprofessional, not qualified and unfriendly. The hotel is so outdated, dirty and in bad shape, have a look at their "spa", the dirty rooms (including a lot of hair of the maids or previous guests). They claim (5) stars?!!! A complete...
