Hotel Casa Lola is situated in the old city and is within easy walking distance of many of the highlights. The best aspect of the hotel is the staff: Julian is exceptional - very friendly and knowledgeable and accommodating; Favio, Diego and Sergio also made our stay very positive. The courtyard with its plants and water feature was an oasis...

From the moment you step behind the painted wooden door, you feel the serenity and peacefulness of Casa Lola. The reception staff are fantastic - English-speaking and extremely knowledgeable about the local area. Ask for tips on restaurants, sites, walks, and if you want to visit the Rosario islands, they can arrange it so you don't go with the crowds....

Great location and such a lovely space. There's water and pools all over and each room is designed with an entrancing whimsy. This is as far away from a cookie-cutter hotel as you can get! Check out the art and the numerous balconies

My friends and I didn't actually stay at the hotel but rented an apartment that the hotel manages just a few minutes walk away in the San Diego zone of town. However, by renting the apartment we were given access to the hotel staff (for restaurant and trip arrangements) as well as a pool access. We were curious to check...

I stayed in Hotel Casa Lola for one night in January 2015. I paid 320,000 Colombian pesos (about £89 UK pounds at the time). The hotel used to be an old colonial house and is based in the Gethsemane area of Cartagena, which is close to a number of attractions (and is an attraction in itself). I had a very...

The hotel is located in a charming house outside the walled city - but it's pretty near, it's just a 10 minute walk away from the city center. The staff is very attentive (Ketty was such a BIG help!), the decoration is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable and very quiet. There are two pools at the rooftop that have...

With it a collection of antiques and art pieces from around the world, a water feature flowing through the ground floor, the lovely shallow pool on the roof deck, overlooking the surrounding neighborhoods, Casa Lola provides travelers with a relaxing eclectic atmosphere in Cartagena. The rooms are comfortable and air conditioned, (most of the public spaces are have no A/C)...

Getsemani is not too touristy and lots of local life around, yet a short walk to the old city. The hotel is clearly designed and decorated by an architect, giving it a very special character. The price was very reasonable. The breakfasts were good American style. The little swimming pool is great to cool off in the evening. We stayed...
