Our initial accommodation was poor - small room with 1 small double bed and 1 child's bed - when we had ordered a Twin Room for 2 single ladies travelling together. We were offered a suite as an alternative so at least we had a bed each although the bathroom was still tiny! The aircon was super efficient. I was...

Hotel is in a super location...inside the old, walled city. 3-4 blks will take you to anything you want to see. Hotel is neat & clean. I didnt try the pool, but I did notice...only 2 chairs by the pool & no table. Shower was nice w/ plenty of hot water. Mini bar, safe & TV. Grocery is just 4...

Very centrally located, this hotel appeals to all kinds of people. Our room overlooked the road, which was busy throughout the day, but owing to secondary glazing the room was very quiet. The air conditioning was highly efficient. The shower room was a tad on the small size, quite awkward for only one person at a time, but it worked....

First the negatives - we came in the night with a group of friends only to realize that the rooms are not as we booked and definitely not as they were described on the web site. None of the rooms we had has a city view, in fact the windows were tiny and we had no natural light. In addition,...

Stayed here six nights in mid-February. The hotel is centrally located within the old city, walking distance to great restaurants. It's a beautiful, open air space, with minimal headway in certain areas, especially the bathroom. The room was fine, somewhat small, but certainly livable for two people. The bed was pretty good, although the sheets were thin. Air conditioning really...

The hotel is stylish with the five floors and balconies. The breakfast room has good views and each of my three morning breakfasts were good with fresh fruit and eggs on request. Good service, but less good coffee! The bed was comfy..but this us a matter of taste as I prefer harder bed. Staff were helpful throughout and always pleasant....

Stayed for 3 nights in January. Comfortable room, though would have liked an external window but then again you don't spend a lot of time in your room in such a beautiful city. Nice rooftop terrace, Booked on booking.com & room description included a patio - there wasn't one, but this was probably down to booking.com not reviewing or supporting...

...from the original hotel that was too noisy. We moved here, and found peace, lovely staff, a great room and good breakfast. Lovely breakfast terrace upstairs, plus a sun terrace and a small pool at reception level. Our room on 5 th floor was spacious and quiet, although bizarrely the shower room was strangely small and awkward. Good wifi.

First off, Cartagena is fantastic, and staying in the Old City inside the ancient walls is definitely the place to be. That said, Don Pedro de Heredia is good value for a great location. The buffet breakfast up on the 5th floor overlooking the Old City is very hearty and you can even go up to another terrace above to...
