We stayed twice there. First time was ok, the second time was terrible! We were suddenly asked to pay more than booking confirmation because of the city tax. We told them that the city tax is only paid when a tourists stay more than 30 days, otherwise they have absolutely no rights to require this money from you. We googled...

Firstly they had no record of our booking even though we had communicated with them over email but we did eventually get that sorted. Got to room and there was a cockroach but hey, its the tropics, it happens. Within an hour we had another cockroach and a mouse/rat. Our room was beside a drain and since we had all...

Big but dark rooms, no window in the bathroom. You can hear a lot of noise coming up from the street in the early morning. The hostel offers laundry service and they run a little travel agency. On the first floor you can find a common room and on the roof there's a fridge where you can keep some food...

I have decided to move to Cartagena and needed a place to stay until I find permanent accomodation. I stayed in Casa Viena for 5 nights and I already felt like home! All the staff members are extremely friendly, the rooms, bathrooms and kitchen are always kept clean. The location is perfect, plenty of cheap restaurants, shops, bars and clubs...

We stayed for one week in a private room. Location is great, close to a nice plaza, good cafés and restaurants, huge supermarkets and the old town. Staff were friendly, especially the owner who is on the desk during the day, who was very helpful. Bathrooms are kept very clean. Comfortable lounge area with couches, as well as 'café' room...

Stayed in a dorm room. Although prices are a bit cheaper than others hostels, clearly the reviews show why. The dorm room is not that clean. Its 30 degrees in cartegena and when asking about the aircon, a staff member came and checked out the air conditioning and after saying, "one moment", went back to reception, which is just outside...

We paid the first night, so we stayed there, ONLY for this first night and run away. The only positive comment is about the nice staff. It is located in a very noisy neighbourhood. The lobby and the kitchen are Super tiny. The stairs are very dangerous to climb up and get down with your luggage! Very cheap compared to...

The people who work there don't really speak English and they were not overly friendly. Also, while I was there, there were mosquitos everywhere inside the hostel. I got so many bites. The hostel did not have an overly social atmosphere. The location was good and the rooms were clean and spacious.

We stayed in Casa Viena 2x three days during our travelling in Colombia. The place has excellent location, very safe and the private room with the bathroom is really comfortable. You have all day long coffee in the lounge, wifi, air-condition in the rooms. We felt safe and relaxed here. I can highly recommend this place to all travellers.

Cheap, well located and air-con in the dorms. Wifi worked quite OK in the dorm downstairs. Laundry service was reasonably priced too. The staff do control who enters the hostel and the entrance door is always locked. This does not prevent security issues from happening. Do not leave your staff in the 'numerical lockers' located in the rooms! Got some...
