This is a rather cheap hotel -in relative terms, not absolute terms- given the price of hotels located within this perimeter around the historical center (between 5 to 10 minutes walking). However, for this price, don't expect much. The room where we stayed is pretty basic and rather small and it is not the kind of room that makes you...

Service was bad. Not very friendly and when we arrived the bathroom wasnt clean, so i asked if it could be cleaned again while we were out but when we came back nothing changed and it was too late to clean it that day. Location is good but i would - if i'd went again - choose a hotel more...

You can walk into town within 5 min. Although the hostel has a good location but that's all. Attention! No employee speaks even a single word of English. The employee who checked us in was very unfriendly. It is far too expensive. It was extremely noisy at night, even though we were on the second floor. The WLAN has no...

At first, I thought the hotel was kind of charming in a shabby chic sort of way. But, the rooms vary widely. Some were twice the size of others but were meant for the same number of people. Our bathroom was tiny, with barely enough room to turn around (I could lean my head against the wall in front of...

None of the staff speak a word of English and the guy that was there was so unhelpful that we just gave it up with him and asked things on the street and stuff. The room was really small and depressing unlike the lively cartagena. There is NO free breakfast like it says on the page, in fact there is...

I don't normally review places, but I feel obligated to dispute the generally positive reviews that Hotel San Roque has on TripAdvisor. I stayed here for three nights while in Cartagena just two weeks ago, and had a very negative experience. A few of the lowlights: The service was very poor. It began when we arrived in Cartagena, having arranged...

We had a reservation for two nights for a room that was supposed to have two beds, we go into town about 8 at night it took the guy about 45 minutes to check us in, the room was small and instead of being two beds was a bed and a fold down couch with a sheet over it. The...

Nice and easy Hotel, a bit far from the beach, though. But you can walk to the city center and there are food places nearby. Well, and my room had no windows, but was clean and quite big. Nice and helpful staff. But don't book trips at the hotel, they're expensive and too touristy for my taste.

Basic, clean and safe location right at Media Luna and in walking distance to the old town. Probably the best you find for this price. Actually I guess private rooms are cheaper than in normal hostels. One guy from the staff (I assume it was the owner) was very friendly and helpful. We felt very good treated. However, one other...

Stayed here for 3 nights. Room was away from main street so it was quiet enough. At first we were given the Quero room (might not be the exact spelling but it's something like this). It has like a "round bed" which looks nice, but is not practical. It makes the room very small and not having enough space. I...
