We loved staying here. The room was spotlessly clean and bright with a nice modern ensuite. We had AC and fan - AC was great as Cartagena is extremely hot and humid. Also had cable TV with some english language channels. Nice clean well equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook. It also has a lovely verandah and would...

We stayed at Arthur's hostel (new name) and really enjoyed our time there. Big, spacious rooms, private bathroom, TV, good wifi, aircon and a fan (which was great for regulating temperature) Very clean, lovely staff, great location. Shared kitchen, which is nice, and well facilitated. More of a hotel rather than a hostel, but that isn't a bad thing. Not...

We stayed at Artur for three nights and this is more of a hotel than a hostel. Very clean rooms, nice bed, air con (which we definitely needed) and flat screen TV. There is a shared kitchen but not much social space other than a small terrace (which is great for the hot, sticky nights in Cartagena). Calle Media Luna...

We initially booked for 3 nights and extended for another 2. Artur Hostel (formerly Akel House) is bright and clean. It is on the first and second floors on Calle San Andres with a secure gated entry and 24 hour reception. There is a small open terrace with table and chairs on the second floor overlooking the street and adjacent...

We were very happy to have booked our one-week stay in Cartagena at the Akel House. The area where it is in, Getsemani, is the most atmospheric of all of Cartagena. We were within easy walking distance from lots of restaurants and sights, including the old town just 5 minutes away. The hostel was perfectly clean, and the service was...

We stayed here not once, but twice during our visits to Cartagena. The place is run by a welcoming family and has a "hotel-feelin" to it. Compared to other hostels in the area this is a hidden gem. Comfy beds, superclean rooms and bathroom, flatscreen TV and airconditioning. Everyday they come and make the beds and putting out new towels....

We stayed here for 3 nights and received good service from the staff. They let us check in early and gave us a choice of 2 private rooms. They also helped us book a tour, gave advice on where to purchase things we needed and always welcomed us with a smile. The room was very clean and well presented with...

I truly enjoyed my stay here. For those looking for a great in between super luxurious and budget accommodations. They are incredibly warm and helpful with everything. Cleaning is impeccable and the rooms are spotless which for Cartagena is very impressive. A great little balcony and nice benefits (good wifi, strong AC) I only have great things to say

I found this hostel in tripadvisor, and relied on the feedback here before booking a night in Cartagena. The place is clean and has air condition in the room, which is not always the case in Cartagena, however it is relatively expensive compared to the service provided. I paid 55,000 Colombian per night for a small room, with no breakfast...
