Hotel El Caribe is the colonial side of Cartagena. A beautiful Hotel built in 1934 by Julio Santander, a colombian architect. It is on Bocagrande, not the old city, right on a very popular beach. I enjoyed my stay here. The staff were helpful and friendly, the large pool was great, the rooms were good without being terrific, the internet worked most of the time... However, I was a little disappointed by the lack of vegetarian choices at he hotel. They have 3 restaurants so you would imagine there is enough room on their menus...

It´s a sunny day. The swimming pool it´s warm. Seating at the solarium viewing a "perezoso" .A couple of "tucanes" look at me from a chair. Near to me, I can see a "bambi" walking in the garden.Wonderful!!!
