When I first arrived at the hostel, I wasn't sure if I made the right choice because it was under construction. The girl, Maria, at the front desk was so nice and helpful though, we decided to give it a try. The rooms were super clean and the AC is ice cold. It was the best hostel we found in... More

We stayed a few nights at Casa Carmen recently and overall we were satisfied, if not a little underwhelmed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was ok: the bed and pillows were comfy and we received fresh towels everyday, but because the building is old the walls were sort of crumbling, more than once we felt... More

We stayed here for two nights, and were happy when it was time to leave. This is not due to the super friendly guy at the front desk (spoke zero English which is fine). The wifi was terrible, barely worked. Our room felt like a cave as the only window we would have had looked onto the public sitting area.... More

Lovely spacious room. Very lovely breakfast. Lovely location. Maria, the lady behind the counter was so lovely! The major negative was one of the night staff was TERRIBLE when we were attempting to make our payment for the room. He just would not accept that we owed much less money than he thought, and this was even after I presented... More

The place is cute, the staff are really friendly but the wifi only works in the courtyard, the bathroom doesnt have a proper wall so if you're a new couple or friends you might want to send the other person out of the room before you go, and there's not hot water in the shower. Given how hot Colombia is,... More

We spent three nights at Hotel Casa Carmen and it was really confortble. The room was perfect and the staff helped us with our Rosario Islands booking and transport. The neighborhood is great. Good food and drinks, great atmosphere without all the vendors of the old town. We recommend!

The staff at Casa Carmen were so, so sweet. I really enjoyed talking to them. Breakfast was really good. The room was... rustic. Honestly the first night I was very turned off by it but by the second night I had gotten used to it and frankly was just relieved to have a room with air conditioning. I can't say... More

First, I have to tell the problems with the reservation: I booked with hotel casa Carmen 4 months ago and when I arrived, I was surprised by the receptionist that said she waited for as long as she could for us, but then was forced to give our room to another family for 2 days. According to her, it was... More

The staff was really nice and always smiled. The location is close to the backpack area and ideal to explore the town from. The room is clean but basic. All accomodations are expensive in Cartagena so for price quality this place is pretty good but i will not give 4 stars for it as it isnt special

Quaint little b&b right in the heart of Getsemani. Room was very comfortable with air con (essential in Cartagena), and reasonably priced! Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent and they offer 1pm checkout which is quite rare! Would definitely recommend!
