We were greeted at the door and escorted to our room promptly. Check-in took 30 seconds. Very very much appreciated. The hotel is smallish approximately 30 rooms. It was very quiet during our stay. There was a Zumba marathon at the Convention Center across the street one night and it wasn't noticeable so outside noises obviously weren't and issue. The...

First off, this hotel is in an absolutely perfect location. Just a minute walk from the clock tower gates (entrance to Centro) and right on the edge of the Getsemani neighborhood. You could not ask for a better location. Room was comfortable but minimally decorated. Comfy bed, decent bathroom. It's not a resort or super fancy but it's a comfortable...

The best location possible in the city, close to the tour trips, airport, old city, nightclubs, restaurants and shopping. Nice and quiet, ideal place to relax after a long day. The staff is extremely professional and with knowledge of the local sites to visit, hanks to them we found a magical place in the "Islas del Rosario" : Isla del...

I stayed here straight from the airport on my night flight and was really happy! It's a very traditional, colonial hotel representing well the typical architecture, with the wood beams, brick arches, tropical gardens breakfast area, etc. It's rooftop is actually really large for Cartagena, the same size as the 5* properties I visited! All "pools" in this city would...

Nice welcome, and a clean and quite room with air con. Good breakfast with fresh fruits in the patio was nice. The Hotel is located opposite the old city, so just 200m away from the "vibrant life" but not noisy. overall a good place to stay !

Hotel Monterrey is a delightful step back into the past. Small, old, colonial style hotel build round an open courtyard (where a very adequate breakfast is served). Small rooms, but airco and wifi both worked well. Small plunge pool on the roof, ideall for cooling off. Hotel perfectly situated a few hundred metres outside the heart of the old city...

The hotel was so helpful and beautifully located. The front desk arranged for us to go snorkeling and helped with language barriers. There is no gym, but our room was clean and the bar and restaurant have great service. Would stay again .

Pros: 1. It is right outside the old city. We had the flexibility of walking right into the walled city and some neighboring attractions 2. The staff spoke mostly Spanish but made an effector to assist as best as they could 3. The hotel and the rooms were kept clean 4. I loved the roof top view of the walled...

An old colonial hotel which has a certain rustic charm. Rooms tend to be on the small side, but clean. Good breakfast in the open courtyard. Centrally located across the plaza from the clock tower and the old city. Staff attentive, wi-fi available. All in all a good choice.

Charming hotel with great breakfast and nice courtyard. Noisy area outside so pick the "superior" rooms with extra thick windows. Just minutes away from the walled city and restaurants and supermarkets. The staff was great.
