We spent 2 nights in this beautiful boutique hotel, very well located in Cartagena. I was first disappointed because I had arranged a pick up at the airport on our arrival in the evening. Unfortunately, nobody came to pick us up. When we arrived with a taxi, the check-in was easy and fast, even if the staff did not speak...

Bantu Hotel is perfect for a trip to the Old City. It was an ease in walking almost everywhere, we barely took a cab. The hotel was gorgeous, you feel like you are living in an old Cartagena home! The staff is wonderful, and always willing to help with any questions, a definite must to stay!

This was our last stop in a 2+ week trip around Colombia. Reading the very favorable reviews, I was so excited that we'd be spending our last few days at the Bantu. Unfortunately, I cannot say I agree with all of the reviews. First the Pros: Located on a quiet street just off a popular square, the location is convenient...

We were upgraded to presidential suite, which has 2 en suite double rooms + spacious (albeit rather daek and over-furnished) sitting room. Private access via stairs to private terrace, which leads on to large hotel roof terrace, jacuzzi, bar and small pool. Friendly staff and very friendly toucan! Very comfortable foyer area to relax and have breakfast or a drink....

We are here now and enjoying this boutique hotel immensely. Staff has been very helpful and accommodating and most of all friendly. Near most everything in the walled city, delightful rooftop to cool off in the evening and enjoy a glass of wine, a swim, or a massage. Very clean, comfortable beds, good breakfast and three delightful toucans!

An absolutely beautiful hotel in the heart of the old city of Cartagena. The service is in top. The rooms are fantastic it is all in old colonial style. It's close to a lovely little square with a lot of bars and restaurants. It has a cute small little pool on the top. It's not a normal 5 star hotel...

The hotel is cozy, breakfast is OK. Rooms are small but clean and look good. Don't like the location. Prefer near Santa Tereza square, because there are more stores and restaurants options. Would recommend for a short period. Location has noise of the street.
