Perfectly located at the south end of the walled city and close to everything. The hotel is just like the photos, maybe better, and the people could not be nicer or more helpful. Lovely little breakfast each day with fresh fruits, smoothies and eggs cooked to order, which we took advantage of each and every day. The staff was always... More

We loved our stay at Alfiz. What I noticed first was how friendly and helpful the staff was. Sally, Manuel and Pablo made us feel right at home. Our room was spacious (we had #7 a suite) tidy and beautifully appointed. The AC in the room was a welcome relief from the heat and humidity. The free wifi worked well.... More

We just returned from Cartagena and wishing we were still there!!! The staff at the Alfiz surely makes you feel welcome and they go out of their way to accommodate guests. We had brought some fruit with us and they kindly made juice for us to try. Breakfast was delicious with many choices and served always with a smile.

Thank you for your feedback it´s always positive. Nice to hear that you liked Alfiz, sorry to know that despite the special doors in the room you heard some noise. We will discuss it with the staff in order to minimize it. Greetings from Cartagena and come back soon! More

I was recently in Cartagena, Colombia for four days and LOVED the place we stayed in; Alfiz. The staff could not have been any friendlier and more accommodating. They made us feel welcome and like family. The rooms were lovely and charming and clean. The food was delicious! Breakfast was in a lovely garden area; it was a beautiful way... More

I was blown away by the staff at this hotel. Pablo and his colleagues went out of their way to take care of every detail. My husband and I loved our stay! The hot tub on the roof top and the lovely breakfasts by the garden- wish I was still there. The location was ideal and the staff's dinner recommendations... More

Writing this review very late. My girlfriend and I spent 3 nights here in September 2013. We loved the hotel. it's beautiful and the room and bathtub were huge. If you are looking for a place that make you feel like you are in the old Cartagena from the XIX century, this is the place. Our room was El Virreinato.... More

I had the opportunity recently to spend 4 nights in this lovely hotel in the centre of the old city. It was a very spacious room and the place has a very tasteful decoration that evokes the colonial origins of the property. The staff was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Thanks to each one.:) Luz & Roberto Aisenberg.

The Alfiz Hotel is a great choice if you are visiting Cartagena for sightseeing. Its in Old Town near almost everything that you will want to see and close to restaurants. The hotel has an excellent breakfast where you order what you want from a nice menu (not a buffet) and has good Internet access, particularly toward the front of... More
