I was staying at El Poblado area before I came to laureles, and I enjoyed this area much more than the last. It feels more calm and there are more local places to go to. The hostel was amazing, they have plenty of showers and restrooms, rooms were nice and clean, they have satellite TV, Nintendo, staff was very friendly,...

I was very pleased with this hostel. The staff are wonderful and so are the people that go there. I do agree with other reviews that some of the shared rooms have too many beds- especially when it's hot. The bathrooms are small but kept well clean. The hostel offers different forms of entertainment and the staff are very helpful...

I was excited to visit this hostel because it had received glowing reviews on trip advisor. But I was, on balance, disappointed. First the good: 1. The staff are friendly and helpful 2. The bathrooms are clean and with lots of hot water 3. There is a reasonably nice bar area The bad: 1. There were 8 beds in our...

The welcome I received when I first arrived was warm and friendly. The receptionist was a local and spoke both Spanish and English which made it easy for my limited Spanish speaking skills. She, as well as the entire staff, were all very knowledgeable about their city and spent generous amounts of time with me every morning giving me directions...

I have stayed a few times at The Wandering Paisa over the course of ten or so weeks. It is definitely my favorite hostel in Medellin. There are various dorms and two private rooms in the hostel, all named after South American countries. This was a cool feel since they have some beautiful murals corresponding with each country. The hostel...

This hostel had friendly helpful staff, the owner was able to recommend hostels in nearby locations to stay at. There's a bar with cheap drinks, they host a language exchange on Thursdays to allow travelers to interact with the community. The location is far from the reggatone bar and club scene of parque lleras but nearby the metro and lots...

Really cant ask more from a hostel. Very cool layout, easy to meet people, and the staff are all extremely kind and helpful. Perfect location too- a minute walk from Street 70 in Laureles which has great nightlife and is authentic Colombian (unlike Poblado)!

The hostel looked nice in itself, but I booked dorm beds in advance and when we arrived they were full, even if it was early in the afternoon. I had to come all the way back later to get my deposit only to find out that it was now my problem and that I had to deal with the website...

We stayed for 3 nights while in Medellin. The location is pretty good as we were very close to supermarket and metro. Rooms were a little small with no AC only a fan so was pretty warm at night. WiFi wasn't great. There weren't enough showers for the amount if people in the hostel. Girls at reception were really friendly...

Stayed here twice in July. First time for 4 nights and then 1 night when passing through elsewhere. It was in a more local area than the other hostels in Medellin and was a much more relaxed attitude. The owner Brent was a great guy and gave plenty of tips on what to do in the local area, also ask...
