This was a perfect staying. Perfect and lovely time! Carmeni and her son Bruce with his children Angel and Little Bruce were very nice with me and my friends. Carmeni is an adventurer bogotana who ends up living in Providencia 30 years ago for love. The room is spacious with a little porch and a big garden. the view to...

We are a Colombian-German couple, and the idea of going to this beautiful and remote Caribbean island was very tempting. But we wanted to avoid the standard all-included life-less hotels, as well as any posada which would lack the minimal comforts to be enjoyable. So after looking for a while online we found a few extremely positive reviews of this...

My husband and I stayed with Carmeni for three nights. The location was perfect, the room was simple and lovely, and the private outdoor area was the perfect place to lay in a hammock and unwind. Carmeni made a delicious breakfast every morning that always incorporated fruit from her garden. Her son Bruce is also a wonderful cook and made...

To be on this island is amazing, but staying on this place makes it perfect. Carmeni is one of a kind, she will help with everything. Giving advice and helping with transportation. Just amazing to have slept here.

We stayed with Carmeni for a week, it was everything we were looking for. She and her family are very lovely and kind, will go over every detail to make you feel comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and abundant. I will suggest you to reserve some nights to have dinner with them; Carmeni and her son Bruce are amazing in the...

We stayed with Carmeni for nearly 3 weeks. It is the perfect retreat, set in a beautiful, hummingbird filled garden overlooking the sea, from which a cool breeze makes the daytime temperatures more bearable. The room is clean and spacious with a fantastic little kitchen, ensuite, your own veranda and a couple of hammocks to while away your time with...

I had a wonderful 3 day stay at Refugio de la Luna with Carmeni. There is only one room, which is more like an apartment with a double and twin bed, kitchen and outdoor table and patio with hammocks. Beautiful view of the sea through the trees. I had no cell phone reception and there is no wifi, but whenever...

We stayed 3 nights at the Refugio de la luna over new year. It is such a great place! It is a small apartment on the ground floor of a typical Providencia villa, with a nice terrace opened on the garden and overlooking the sea. Carmen, the owner, lives on the first floor and is a very sweet lady. She...

I am a single traveller on Providencia for four days. My plane arrives 8:30 AM where Carmeni picks me up and mottos me to her home. I am surprised to find I will occupy the lower level of her house complete with kitchen, bath, three plus beds, private terrace, outdoor shower and garden! And at this early hour I can...

We had been to Colombia already several times but for us there was left one spot to see and to discover: ISLA PROVIDENCIA, in the very north of Colombia, close to Nicaragua. To get to Isla Providencia one has to fly to San Andres (which by far is not that charming as Providencia) and take either a catamaran-boat or -...
