I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel! Its a beautiful building right in the heart of Santa Marta! They have every kinds of rooms to choose from so you can get your privacy if you are not up for partying. There are two bars and food available all day long and the staff is really nice and helpful! You...

I was on my way to Barranquilla with my older brother and two friends, and we decided to make a stop in Santa Marta. It was my first time in Santa Marta and I wish we could have stayed longer but we were only there for one day. La Brisa Loca building is very beautiful with air conditioned rooms, which...

Stayed here with my girlfriend and a friend. He stayed in a dorm while I stayed in a private room with a private bathroom and A/C. Room was clean and comfortable. The building is beautiful with great shared spaces, including a nice wading pool and terraza on the roof. Bar was always full of fun travelers from all over the...

apparently this hostel is a party hostel (looking at photos and from what the girl booking us in warned us...) We had the double with en-suite, stayed here twice during our trip and had room 3 first - was nice, we were chuffed with it until we stayed in cabana 1 on the roof terrace for the same price -...

The only reason I feel comfortable giving this place 1 star is because it has a pool. I have never dealt with such terrible service. All of the staff (front desk, management, security) were rude, dismissive and never once made us feel welcome. There were extra items on all of our tabs and we were given one price one night...

We arrived on a Saturday, having pre-booked our room (I advise you do this). The receptionist spoke exceptional English and ran us through the hotel, their policies and what it's like - essentially a party hostel. They regularly (I think 3 times a week) throw parties on the roof terrace, with DJs. As we arrived on Saturday, it was party...

Great hostel, really enjoyed my stay there. Used it as a base as we travelled 2 and from tyrona national park. Great roof parties but can chill if you want to as well. Would return again if in the area... Oh and a really cool spin the wheel drinking game there.... A must

After almost a year in South America, I can safely say the staff at La Brisa Loca (specifically the daytime reception staff) were the most miserable, unfriendly, and downright useless bunch I have had the displeasure of dealing with. When they DO finally decide to acknowledge your presence at the reception desk (which usually only happens after they've finished chatting...

If you just pretend the kitchen doesn't exist, the hostel is dec Good staff, good pool. Noisy since it's an open concept but quiets down after 12 or so. Id suggest splurging on air con room since Santa marta is like an oven from 11-3. Doooooo it!
