Beautifully designed hotel in a good location close to the main square where the restaurants/bars are. Staff were extremely helpful and spoke good English. Room was both comfortable and impeccably clean, and had nice high ceilings. I felt it was great value for money and would recommend to anyone planning to visit Santa Marta.

Beautiful tasty decor, big rooms, great sheets and pillows, very quiet, plants are taken care of nicely, fine wooden furniture, good air conditioning, very refined in general. Nice breakfast and everybody makes the effort of giving the best service. The pool is clean, minimal in size but enough to enjoy and relax after hot days. The bathroom is also nice...

My girlfriend and I spent 3 nights at Casa Isabella between having hiked to Ciudad Perdida and spending two days in Tayrona. Casa de Isabella was a great spot to rest and was close to great restaurants and the historical city centre. Rooms were very spacious, clean, and the breakfast was incredible. We will definitely return to Casa de Isabella...

My experience in this hotel was simply fabulous, particularly from Juan David who helped us for over an hour the night before we were planning to go to the Tayrona Park. Give the holiday week, the park was fully booked and we hadn't paid for our tickets yet. Juan David was so helpful and tried everything possible to get us...

My wife and I stayed only one night in this funky, cool hotel. We paid for a suite, which we loved and had the surprise of enjoying our own small pool on the rooftop of the suite. Within safe walking distance are the waterfront and a city square with great restaurants and bars. The service was excellent with front of...

All of the staff were incredibly friendly, caring, and genuinely interested in our well being which made us feel at home instantly. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa de Isabella pays homage to the charm and history of Santa Marta's colonial era while ushering in a future rich in culture and beauty. Founded in 1525, Santa Marta is Colombia's oldest city. Its natural port provided a refuge from long journeys on Spanish galleons, and its position on the north coast allowed explorers to use it as a base camp for trips to the interior. Casa de Isabella sits in the Centro Historico, the Old City of Santa Marta. This area, first developed after the Manzanares river receded in 1850, holds buildings that reflect traditional Mudejar architecture. The building's original owners inhabited the house for four generations and contributed significantly to the city's growth in the 19th and 20th centuries. In renovating the hotel for the modern era, we consistently chose classic style, maintaining the original integrity of the building and its surrounding neighborhood. Our guests feel the simplicity of Santa Marta's natural charm while enjoying modern comforts. From the greenery of the courtyard to the intimacy of a personal rooftop pool, Casa de Isabella fuses the tranquility of Colombian culture with top quality hotel conveniences. With lighting fast Wi-Fi, complimentary I-Pads, and Apple TV, as well as restored furniture and handmade adornments, this hotel stays anchored in tradition while looking ahead toward a bright future. We have proudly renovated the most beautiful boutique hotel in the Colombian Caribbean. ... more   less
