This is in the Rodadero, nice hotel for the area and near the beach. Restaurant is good, service and people are great. the rooms overlooking the street can be loud but you are near the action and everything you need is within walking distance.

Check-in was OK. The desk clerk spoke English but demanded my passport. I showed her my cedula extranjera and explained that I am a Colombian resident and therefore do not travel in-country with my passport. She relented after 5 minutes of arguing. We took the elevator to our third floor room - the only time we used it in 5... More

Where do I start...we came here for my dad's birthday. The lobby is nice but everything else isn't. Cons: The bathroom was a bit outdated and not very nice looking. The threads from the blinds are coming loose They only have ONE type of meal for you to pick from (for lunch or dinner) so if you're a vegan/vegetarian, I'm... More

The staff was really very helpful. But, the noise from the slamming doors, inconsiderate guests and wild children......really diminished everything. The breakfast food is poor quality, but the service is excellent. I had to leave the hotel and cut my trip 8 days short because of the construction. This hotel is in the nightclub/bar section of Santa Marta and you... More

This hotel looked ok, but the hostile belligerent attitude of the afternoon manager and worse attitude of the evening manager makes me so I would not want enter that hotel again. When I first got to the hotel I imagined that this would be a 5 star review. I was staying at a friend’s home and never actually slept at... More

I spent 2 weeks in February 2013 at this hotel. It was a relief to get away form the Cartagena scene. Cartagena was engulfed with young Europeans. The restaurants and lodgings houses were filled with foreign tourists. In Rodadero, was geared towards the Columbian tourists which I prefer. I miss booked at a lower rate and the front desk went... Before making a decision to stay at the hotel, one needs to note it is very old and run down. It is not new at all and is in serious need of a makeover, as are many of the hotels located in Rodadero. As with many hotels in Colombia, it is also extremely expensive for what is offered. Our room... More

you can hear everybody talking outside your room. Elevator was very questionable. They tried to fixed it but it did not work. Hidden costs when you leave. Bad advice on tours to take. It is close to the beach, but turned off by vendors and crowd. Places near by are not near to the touristy places. Food was ok but not... More

Hotel arhuaco Santa Marta is located at rodadero, the tourist part of Santa Marta. We traveled from Cartagena to Santa Marta by shuttle mini van, it took around 5 hrs door to door. PLUS Very nice breakfast buffet: really nice juice of different kind of fruits, tasty coffee, tea, bread, Colombian food, eggs, etc. Comfortable rooms and beds with tv,... More

I recently spent the night at this hotel on a business trip to Santa Marta. Defenetly not a good experience. Firts, the hotel is located in one of the busiest streets of El Rodadero tourist district.
