Not very ritzy but nifty for the thrify. Cheri greeted us have us a choice of floors. The second overlooking the pool was fine But our room safe didn't work, none of the safes on the property do,she said. The full course breakfast was outstanding.
This motorr inn has seen its best days come and long gone! It badly needs a paint job. It is so small and cramped. I booked a wheelchair accessible room, with roll in shower and then called 2x to confirm It was fitted for a fulltime wheelchair user. Upon arrival. The eleva t or was so small I had to remove the leg rests on my chair to fit. When I got to the 4th floor there was no turning room between the balcony rails and the door of the room that also had a lip to climb to get in the room. I have seen this lamp as a flood prevention tool in beach rooms. Very tight cramped squeeze to angle the wheelchair just right to get in the door but the worst was yet to come. I had requested a room with roll in shower and had called 2x to confirm. Not only was it not a roll in shower but I was not even able to fit in the bathroom. The bathroom is so small my standard sized wheelchair would not fit. There are no standard safety rails around the toilet to transfer to the toilet. The towels are located over the toilet out of wheelchair reach. So I had to pee in a cup and go down the street to the casino to use the bathroom. If there had been an emergency and I had no cell phone, I would have been screwed because the phone was also out of reach instead of being on the desk at a reachable level. There is a tall credenza for the television and the phone was behind that. The television only had 4 channels, 2 of which were in Spanish so I looked at the news all night. All of the other channels said cable service not authorized? Perhaps the place is so old it cannot be modernized in which case they should not advertise ADA mobility rooms if standard sized wheelchairs don't fit. Roll in means the room is not obstructed by a lip to enter. A roll in shower means one can roll their wheelchair directly into the shower. The phone towels and amenities are at a heel hair level and the bathroom is large enough to fit in. This was a horrible evening and even worse inconsiderate service!…
Place is a dump, No breakfast, Room temperature control jumps from 56 to 110 degrees. If I was younger, I would have slept in the car, handrails not secured properly. Stay somewhere else. Stayed 6 years ago and it was nice and a good value, no holes in the sheets.
Only needed a one night stay. Older hotel with a very old elevator, but the rooms looks to have been upgraded lately. Clean and secure. Only issue is that room did not have any USB outlets to charge any devices.
Hotel room was nicer than expected. Great location. A short walk to the beach. Tropicana is very close. Fro our room with the door closed, we can smell cigarette smoke and MORE. The first two nights were ok, as far as the level of noise outside of our room, but the last night was absolutely horrific. Random people pounding on our door, people puking in the hall, screaming, loud music and again the smell of cigarette smoke in our room. I was scared. Obviously no one slept well. Very disappointing that we are ending our vacation this way.
Clarion Inn Atlantic City Flithy and Misleading I booked a king bed room with sofa ded with the expectation that my grandchildren would be able to sleep on the sofa bed boy was I wrong. When we arrived at Clarion Inn and checked the sofa bed it was disgusting. There was no mattress cover, the mattress was stained and the pillow had mildew on it. When complained to management I was advised to contact the third party since we booked it through them and the third party advised to speak with Clarion management because it's a room they offer on their website. When asked why does the sofa bed look like that Clarion management told me they don't use the sofa as a bed just as a couch to sit on. So I asked why is this room type available on the third party site they told me to contact the third party. I asked the third party agent why is that room type on their site and they advised me it's because Clarion provided that to them. The issue was not resolved thank Godness I had my blow up mattress for my grandchildren to sleep on. Do not rent from Clarion Inn it's a waste of money.…
Actually much better than I expected after arrival. Room was clean, staff was nice and housekeeping in room was good. Overall very noisy at all times and there was always a party going on (you could smell it). Atlantic City in my opinion is not a nice vacation spot. I had higher hopes. If you’re planning a trip to AC this hotel is fine.
The area is not safe at all. A lot of druggies and even a drug dealer offering drugs steps from the hotel. The hotel surrounding are not clean at all. The room was ok, very dark. Smelled like cheap bleach. Ugh! Do yourself a favor, pay a little more and stay in a safe place. Also the pool was out of service. Never again!
Never take room 102. Holes in the wall in the bedroom, dirty shower, noise and wind coming in under the door, overall a pretty crappy place to stay. We complained to the manager and was told that there was nothing better. We called booking.com and they complained and we were sent up to 301, much nicer.
Wasn't spending a lot of time in our room but wanted to be close the party life. So we booked this hotel. Great price and location. Clean and easy check in! Had mini fridge so can store our YUMMY White House subs in! Very close to the boardwalk. Perfect place for the price!
