This hotel is great and all the employees are wonderful. The only issue is there are not enough restaurants and the arcade area could be a little better for children. I know Atlantic City isn’t a destination geared towards children but it is nice to have options.
I have been staying at Bally's for 15 years and I will no longer be staying there. We had a room in the Dennis Tower which faced the courtyard and we got absolutely no sleep due to the live band and DJ playing at The Yard until 1:30am. They should not be booking these rooms on the weekend or they need to be extremely discounted. The music was SOOO load all night long, it was the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel.
If this is what is supposed to be an idea of a casino and a good time then I am never coming back. All of the restaurants were closed, no one was there to assist you with anything. No housekeeping, no valet, no front desk help. What the hell is going on? I couldn’t believe that our room was right next to two other occupied rooms! The people inside were soooooo loud! No room service! We asked to move our room and we’re rudely told “ check out is at 100pm! “. Gaming tables on the floor were closed… no patrons players etc…. You get a comp room and when you get there there is nothing to do! We won’t be going back!
Needless to say ever since Ballys changed hands it has not been up to par and just gotten worse in my opinion. I have been going here for 20 years! I have ALWAYS stayed in the towers, Let’s start with the hotel— you receive offer after offer of come stay with us for comp rooms in our brand new tower rooms, you call and they tell you that is what your reservation is for then you get no email and get there only to be told no sorry we don’t have those rooms with that smirk of a grin from the unfriendly check in clerk! And have (2) clerks checking people in at peak check in time! With that being said I know it’s based on “availability” but every single time I make a reservation you don’t have those rooms and you’re not even fully booked?!?? But you continue to send email and mail offers for those rooms! False advertising at best! Then you get placed in the Dennis towers which I personally think motel 6 would out rate it! These rooms are dingy, dark, dirty, and the elevators are crap! Secondly- how do you have a Dunkin Doughnut and when you go there not have one single doughnut in the morning hours for breakfast? Seriously? Ballys use to be the place to be , sad to see it not be the same.…
Room 2128, accessible, across from elevators, grab bars all over the bathroom, wife loved it. Stayed Christmas to Wed. No box spring on bed so bed is 8 to 12 inches lower, didn't need step stool. Only item missing would be a microwave, who likes cold coffee? Front desk very helpful, could use more than 2 at check-in times. We stay because Dunken Donuts in lobby. (Wife loves Dunken). New rooms are nicer. Miss the old slots, most of floor are 95% oriental types. Spent hours trying to get drinks on the floor, not gambling if looking for a waitress. Old computer system for beverages was quick and simple. Need more Handicap parking spaces in garage.
Couldn't get front desk for help didn't understand the person on phone didn't speak much English so i couldn't get helpwhy would a guest service have non Englishspeakingstaff that hangs up phone when they csnt understandyou???.elevator broken near garage
Booked this trip to relax, chill in the hot tub and gamble a bit.... Weekend getaway for bf's bday.... FOUND OUT UPON ARRIVAL POOL/HOTTUB WERE CLOSED (wish we knew this before we drove 5 hours...) WE WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED. Tried to switch hotels and asked for a credit or even better a refund, to no avail..... Front desk staff was sub-par, unhelpful, and downright grumpy . Room needed renovations badly, NO USB PORT AVAILABLE (IN 2023???) THERE ARE SO MANY CHOICES ON THE BOARDWALK TO CHOOSE FROM, I WOULD CHOOSE ANOTHER CASINO...
Was a regular at least once or twice a month, once with my uncle to play craps and once with my wife to stay...for some reason Bally's has STOPPED giving me comp rooms mid-week.....it's ok, even though Bally's WAS my favorite...there are many choices in atlantic City....so Ceasars and Hard Rock have me now....Bally's...waiting for your emails.
Stay for: Central location Easy to enter and exit self parking Hells Kitchen is delicious Rooms have been updated. They are very comfortable Overall servers are attentive Elevators and quick and always avail Connected to Wild West, Bally’s and Claridge . Ramsey wine is very good Don’t Stay: Check in kiosks were broken, but only one was labeled out of order The Pub has average food Several of the bars close at 10 No night life. Have to go to wild Wild West. Finding WWW is w challenge. They are renovating and have access closed Limited places to eat
I had stayed 2 previous times before in November and the first visit I had to move my room die to seeing what appeared to be roaches in the shower. Upon complaining and asking to be moved the guy at fronkdesk moved me to the room right next door... I'm no expert but wouldn't that be a room with high probability of having the same bug issue? after bringing to his attention he moved me to the Dennis tower which I cannot express how disgusting the rugs were.... never looked like they had been vaccumed or cleaned since the hulahoop was invented! I hate to complain and beings it was 4am I just wanted to sleep! Called down to the front desk and got a nice lady who actually seemed to give a hell if I was happy or not. She gave me a mini suite which turned out to be nice. The first guy who sent me to the depths of hell in the Dennis tower apologized and even gave me a 30$ food voucher which was nice. I let that incident go as an isolated one and booked a room again in early December.. I had qualified for a mini suite due to my play and it was what I thought a lovely room. Of my 3 day stay it was very last morning before I checked out and I awkoke to feeling something crawling on my neck. My boyfriend picked it off of my skin and upon googling the insect we found out it was in fact a bed bug. I was completely freaked out and so upset.. I called down to feintdesk to tell them the situation and let them know if be a bit longer to check out due to me needing time to look in my belongings for any other bugs in fear I'd take them home. No apologies just come down and fill out a incident report. Now I'm leaving here feeling disgusting and anxious anout the reality of me possibly bringing these bugs back home. I will have to spend money to go to a laundromat and put everything in a dryer in hopes the heat kills them. It's not even as if they acted like it was a big deal nor did they act surprised. I am never staying here again.. it's a serious thing to have bed bugs in your hotel as now everything I have is compromised. Stay away and save yourself the grief.…
