It was clean and inviting. The front desk staff was welcoming and informative. It has a quite Bed and Breakfast feel to it. The parking wasn't that far away. I have stayed at placed with parking lots with longer walks than parking across the street. The lobby offers coffee, hot drinks, and iced water. There is an ice machine on the second floor. The small hotel has interesting rules, like no ice chests (probably to smelling dead fish being stored in a room). We loved our balcony, though we couldn't find a way to shut off the light at night. Our room was spacious. The ceiling was a dark color instead of white. It felt cozy. We really loved it. The bathroom was large, but the sink vanity was small. We used the large closet and the drawers under the TV. We made use of the desk, but no token pen or stationary. I have a collection of hotel pens, but not from this place. There were so many pillows on our large bed with beautiful comforter. You need to ask for room service if you want your room tidy after your day adventure. There are several restaurants in walking distance. The front of the hotel courtyard is actually the Copper Canyon restaurant. We are returning even at the $250 price.
We unexpectedly needed a hotel for a month while waiting for our new home to be finished. Angela and her team went above and beyond, going out of their way to make our stay memorable. Anything we needed, Angela personally saw to it and checked back multiple times to make sure we were happy. By the time we left, we felt like family. For a small, boutique hotel, this one feels more like a quaint B&B and the staff will make you feel like you have known them for years. I highly recommend it.
Beautiful from entrance to room. Staff was friendly and helpful, directing us around the streets. The king suite was magical to the body and the bathroom meticulously clean. The only negative thing I found was that they advertise ample parking for guests, when in fact you have to drive behind the buildings (trash and such) to park across across the block in a municipal lot. Hmm, what if alone and handicapped? Otherwise a great stay.
Won a free night's stay accompanied by free dinner at Copper Canyon, so we took the opportunity the night before our anniversary since we could only use it Monday through Thursday. We're locals and familiar with Atlantic Highlands, but never stepped foot near the beautiful water fountain right in front of the modest hotel. Can't begin to tell you how clean the place was, from lobby to the halls to the room. The hotel is so solid, the wall to wall carpeting and the presence of complete privacy throughout. And that balcony?! Soooo cute and European-esque. Both women at the desk we met at check in and check out were down to earth and sweet, as well as the cleaning ladies we ran into upstairs. Delicious Keurig too, if you weren't already convinced. What a great experience. No complaints. Thank you so much!
One size up is worth the extra $10. Room very nice, but bathroom is very basic. Parking a little remote. Very good restaurants nearby. We stay here whenever visiting our daughter nearby. Would recommend it.

they are only a partial view now as there has been building work since our first stay, blocking the view..but it's literally 5 mins to the ocean and there is a lovely cafe called Sissy's to sit and watch the boats go by
