The hostel was basic, what your would expect for the price. A fridge, double bed, wardrobe, shower and free wi-fi. Downside was the cleanliness, the bathroom was dirty and the towels were worn. It was noisy at the adjacent building and when they smoked in the back yard we could smell it in our room. The owner was friendly and... More

This place has all the essentials, a/c, wifi, hot water, fridge and even a king size bed. The location is close to everything and the owner is very nice. Nice value place to stay, no complaints here! Right across is a mangrove walk way around a lagood and up the road 10 minutes walk is the start of the path... More

We only stayed for one night but it was very comfortable. We had a private room that had a king bed! Plus a bar fridge which was super handy. The Hospedje is a short walk from the port and even closer to the restaurants on Binford Street. Con: The drinking water cooler was located at reception which was locked overnight,... More

My husband and I stayed for $40 per night. Which is nice for a private room private bathroom, mini fridge, and a/c. The location is nice because it's just outside the main road so it's quite at night. The only thing was that there were power outages, for reasons unknown to us. We stayed for 3 nights and the power... More

Germania Casa was a gem of a find! My husband and I travelled to Ecuador to meet up with my daughter who is studying for a semester at USFQ in Quito, and we decided to "wing it" when it came to accommodations and planning (much against my husband's wishes). Please keep in mind that we were there at the end... More

Room was really clean, owner was really friendly offered us tips and tricks to get around, price was quite high without breakfast (50 dollar). Location couple minutes walking distance from the harbour, not on a main street. Hostel is quiet, good night sleep guaranteed. Good shower.

Decided to stay here after reading someone's blog. It was a great place for the price as we'd rather spend money on doing things. Big room, clean and not noisy. Right in town and the owner was always available for questions. It is right next to the lagoon which is a great place for a stroll in the morning to... More

We booked 5 nights here as it was one of the cheapest places to stay and we were on a budget. It really was much better than we expected, even better than a lot of other hostels we have stayed in in South America! Air conditioning, a big room with a private bathroom, a table outside our room to chill,... More

Germania is a genuine hotel run by amazing Rafael and his family. We spent 7 nights here during our trip to Galapagos and we couldn't be happier with our choice. After we provided Rafael with our flight details he happily picked us up at the airport and drove us the 40 minutes or so to Puerto Ayora for only $15/pp.... More
