Had a great room. The breakfasts were tast. The staff treated us super well, so friendly. All of our travel and tour arrangements were looked after by Jonathan at Galápagos Dreams. We were there for 2 weeks and time flew by. Looking forward to going back.
Puerto Ayora is a small town, but I think it's important to stay away from the busy party places in order to get some rest. This hotel is close to the research station and the pier. The owner is always happy to help you with information about stuff to do in the city or tours you can take. We rented bikes to bike to Garrapatero beach, the bikes were pretty good bikes (29 inch rims with decent brakes). They offer free wifi but reception is good only in the main lobby, it's pretty bad in the rooms.
I stayed here for three nights recently while exploring the island of Santa Cruz. I had booked a queen bed room but was given two twins. I did not bother bringing this up with management but they were very responsive when I noted that the hot water in my room initially did not work. After the complaint, I had no further issues with hot water though it took a while for it to warm up. The bathroom in my room is located at a higher level than the room proper so after my first shower the room got a little wet because the drainage wasn’t ideal. More care the following showers rectified this situation. Jonathan, the owner?, was very courteous and helpful. Though I felt he was disappointed I did not use his services for my day tours. Location was convenient to all the touristy sites of Puerto Ayora. It was about a ten minute walk from the local bus that brought us from the airport ferry to town and about a 15 minute walk to the ferry station to the other islands. WiFi was spotty and mostly unavailable.…
My friends, I had an amazing time here. Great location and services. We chose the 4 days, 3 nights package and all tours, food included no dinner, but that was fine since we wanted to explore restaurants in the city. 4 days was sort of not enough, we wanted to explore more islands such a beauty! so we will def come back!
My group arrived on Puerto Ayora in the early evening without having booked anything for that night. While eating dinner, we were able to see there was some room availability, but weren't able to book online due to the poor wifi in the restaurant. So despite showing up without a prior booking, the staff was very accomodating, and happy to find us a room to fit our budget. The room was clean and with working wifi, there was hot water (a huge relief after not having any during our stay in Isla Isabela), and there was even a simple breakfast included. Would happily return if I find myself in Puerto Ayora again.
