Had an amazing stay at finch bay. The staff kept it beautifully clean and we’re so friendly. Took all their recommendations of food and drinks and was not disappointed. Spent too much time at the bar overlooking the pool but it was just too relaxing to leave!

My sister and I spent 4 nights at Finch Bay and found the service incredible. We were so sad to leave the staff who, by the way, all knew us by name. The accommodations were good but both the overall service and food was simply outstanding. We've traveled to all continents and

Very disappointed. More than 1000 USD for the smallest hotel room I’ve ever seen, no TV, no fridge and very poor WiFi. You have to walk for 10 minuets to go to the dock where you can take the taxi boat to go to the city. No service at all... nobody waited us in the airport or

Response from Javier G, Gerente at Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel

Dear Alinadkna, Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us about your recent stay at the Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel. We value guest feedback immensely, and we take each and every opinion very seriously to help us improve our services. Given the Galapagos Islands are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a National Park, we proudly abide by the strict regulations that govern this one-of-a-kind archipelago and make tremendous efforts to be as sustainable as possible. As such, we try to keep our energy consumption at a minimum in order to help preserve the archipelago – one of several reasons for why we do not have mini-fridges or TV’s in our rooms. It is worth mentioning that we do have a large, flat screen TV in our Business Center, available for our guests to use. In spite of the fact that the Galapagos Islands are an extremely remote location, we have invested a substantial amount into having the technology necessary to provide our guests with an optimal level of wireless internet speed throughout the hotel. We do our best to provide the best internet available given our isolated location and the strict National Park guidelines in place with respect to telecommunications in the archipelago. We are very sorry that, given our location and circumstances, the internet offered at our hotel was not up to par with your expectations. The Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel also prides itself in being the only beachfront property in all of Santa Cruz Island. Nevertheless, such a dreamlike location does have its minor setbacks, one of which is the need to be slightly separate from the main city itself. However, this small tradeoff is well worth it when you consider that the Finch Bay’s location is devoid of the noise and bustle of nearby Puerto Ayora, and again – the only beachfront property on the island. We have also recently remodeled our rooms and bathrooms to satisfy the high-quality standards of our guests, which are always our main priority. Regarding your transfer: Unfortunately, we did not receive your reply when we wrote to you on several occasions to arrange for it. In order to organize these transfers, the hotel requires that our guests provide us with specific information in a timely manner. If we receive said information, we always, without fail, pick our guests up on time and provide them with excellent service so they can have a great experience the moment they set foot in the Galapagos. We are deeply sorry to hear that the Enchanted Isles as a destination, and the Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel as your accommodation option, were not what you were looking for. Time and time again, guests choose to stay at the Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel due to its unbeatable location, superb service, food, and amenities, along with its prestigious title as a National Geographic Unique Lodge of the World. We truly hope that you decide to return to this unique destination and really appreciate everything it has to offer. If you come back in the future, we would gladly treat you as honorary guests. Please, do not hesitate to contact me directly at: manager@finchbayhotel.com Warm Regards, Javier Gómez General Manager Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel

Dear Sir, Thank you ver much for contact us. Let us clarify your doubts: To get from Baltra to the Hotel you must first take a bus that takes you to the Itabaca channel (it takes 10 minutes approximately), then a ferry that crosses the other side (it takes about 5 minutes), then a taxi that will transport you to Puerto Ayora (approximately 45 minutes) and finally our water taxi to reach the Hotel (5 minutes). Then walk down a path (10 minutes) to reach Finch Bay. Our staff will help you with your luggage as long as you give us the arrival information of your flight. We recommend you hire the transportation service with us. We hope this information helps you. Please let us know if there anything else that we can assist you. Sincerely, Finch Bay Staff
