Hotel Mainao is a great 3 star hotel in Puerto Ayora, that offers a nice place to stay at a convenient price. In general, Hotels in Galapagos are priced a lot higher than hotels in Mainland Ecuador. This means that for the price of a 4-Star hotel in the mainland, you will find a 3-star hotel in Galapagos. The same...

We stayed here as part of our tour. The hotel was nice and in a great location. We were within walking distance to the fish market, great restaurants, Charles Darwin station, and the wharf with the baby sharks. The breakfast was good as well. Our only complaint was that we were given two single beds for a honeymoon. We moved...

Loved this quirky hotel with it's colorful mosaics and Spanish styling! Staff were incredibly helpful and happy to help in any way. Room was very spacious and bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast was OK and the kitchen staff very attentive to your needs. Location is excellent, with everything within easy walking distance. Wifi in restaurant was good but not working in...

Mainao Hotel is centrally located. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff are attentive and kind. Breakfasts are made to order (eggs, yogurt, bread basket, different juice, fruit, and coffee). They offer luggage storage and they have a public computer to check internet. I would recommend Mainao Hotel for your stay.

Very pretty hotel. The room was so clean and we enjoyed hot water shower. Building itself is so stylish and lovely. Only one thing we disappointed is that there is no elevator, so it is very hard to bring all heavy buggages up to our room. The hotel building structure is so complicated and was sometimes difficult to reach our...

From outside it definitely evoke memories of Barcelona and beautiful park Guell. From inside – very nice and spacy rooms, providing all you might need. Position itself may be considered as its strongest side: It is situated exactly 2 minutes’ walk from Pelican bay – place to enjoy not only pelican's company but also kind of unusual fish market. It...

Loved the look of this hotel, somewhat Gaudi-esque. It's in a great spot, quiet but with easy access to the town, the room we had was huge, with a lovely very large balcony with hammock. It was a little dark inside because of darkened glass in the windows, but this maintains privacy and keeps the heat down. The breakfast was...

We were booked here through our land-based Galapagos tour with cometogalapagos.com (which was a great way to see Galapagos. They were fantastic!) This was a great hotel. Wonderful sit-down breakfast each morning, with eggs made to order. Clean, large rooms with a fabulous shower. Internet is courtyard area only (not in rooms.) Easy walking distance to downtown for restaurants and...

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days in Puerto Ayora and it was excellent! It's location is just a stroll from the main street and yet, it's a very quiet location during the nights. I like finding hotels that have character and they aren't just hotels to make someone richer. You can tell that this hotel was build by...

We stayed here for three nights after our honeymoon dive trip. The ladies at the reception were very nice and friendly. We arrived way too early but they tried their best to get the room cleaned up as soon as possible. The room was basic, but had everything we needed - we were glad to get a fridge :-) Spacious...
