We rented 4 rooms for 8 people. We all liked it a lot. All rooms are clean and comfortable. it feels like you are at home. The owner is very nice. We had a late flight schedule. The owner allowed us to stay until we ready to leave. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom. The bathrooms are clean and reasonable sizes. I would go back to this place and strongly recommend to our friends.

We stayed here twice during our trip to Galapagos, before and after going to Isabela island. Captain Max is a nice, family run b&b with a cosy atmosphere. Ideally located in the heart of Puerto Ayora close to all the action yet quiet at the same time. Highly recommended.

Having stayed here before we said we would return and so we did. Captain Max is an excellent host, keen to ensure all his guests get the most of their visit to the island. The accommodation is centrally located so all you need is within a short walk. The rooms are lovingly arrange around a nautical theme with comfortable beds and air conditioning and come complete with a hammock if that 'rocks your boat'. Breakfast is served in the communal lounge / dining area where staff are on hand to ensure a good start to the day. Just an all round great place to stay and we are looking forward to our next visit.

We had an amazing stay at capitan max! Stayed for a full two weeks with Max, Such a lovely man who can’t do enough for you. He’s there at 0600hrs every morning preparing breakfast for the early risers off to go diving or other trips so you don’t go without. Our room was spacious and cleaned every day with a good shower, there was even a hammock! (Not in the shower) A stones throw away from everything but set back far enough not to be disturbed by the bars and restaurants. Thanks for looking after us Max! Mike & Katy! Uk

We stayed at Captain Max back in July, and we felt at home from the first moment. They help with anything you need. One of the employees even removed a splinter from my son's hand. (He got the splinter at the beach.) The location is excellent - a few minutes' walk from the port and close to beaches, restaurants, shops. We had a triple, and it was spacious and clean, with lots of shelf and closet space. It was also nicely decorated. The bathroom was clean, modern, and spacious, with plenty of hot water. The breakfast was delicious and filling, with eggs made to order and plenty of coffee.
