My wife and I stayed here for 10 days in February. Short walking distance to most things in Puerto Ayora but located in a ‘Back Street’ I’m sure the accommodation is good value but the facilities lacked the personal touch. Rooms were clean and comfortable but the rest of the facilities lacked a good clean especially the shared kitchen area ( very limited equipment ) We really felt the owners were just running a part time business. Unfortunately there was limited information about recommended trips or who they would recommend you booked with. The owners seamed to visit once a day each evening with nobody around at any other times. Whilst the staff were very nice and welcoming they lacked the customer service expected. This could be a great accommodation if the customer service issue was addressed. …
Clean room, good bed and towels, AC, nice garden with balconies, hammocks, patio, flowers and trees. A kitchn to prepare your food, clean water. We realky liked it. Not that close to city center but it didn’t take long to reach anything.
2 blocks away from main road and a number blocks from seafront, so walkable, but not the most pleasant walk and possibly uncomfortable at night. Room and bath clean, but very small, dark dingy, no windows worth talking about. Only one socket where TV was plugged in, so had to use that for charging devices. Wouldn’t use kitchen, mouldy bread on table left for days. I’m sure there must be better accommodation for the same price in the town.
We stayed for three nights and it was perfect for us. I read some of the other reviews and think you get what you pay for. This is a family-run guest house with eight rooms, where most of the guests are out and about during the day. We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean, we had nice hot showers, the communal kitchen was well stocked, staff were friendly and it was great to have an an air conditioner (not that we used it much). It was a 10 min easy walk from the pier and close to everything we needed (bakery, kiosk food street and local market). We didn’t expect wifi on the islands and we were pleasantly surprised here. The construction on the road in front is now complete. There is still a lot of construction around town, so there will be noise from digging and generators but that’s not really within the hotel’s control.…
The hostel got a nice clean room, a good bed and a fine warm shower. There is a possibility to rent good mountainbikes and snorkel equipment. It's like 10min walking from Puerto aroyo. To bad in the day there was not always a person at the reception. If there was somebody they were always very helpful. Happy sleeping, Arno
