This was our last day and we needed a place to stay for the day while we wait for our 10:30 p.m. flight. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport. Negotiate a price for the taxi (approx. $30.00 U.S. for four people). Hotel...More
First, the good: the property and layout of the bars, floors, pool and beach is gorgeous. There's a really cool floating infinity pond with lily pads over the bar, just below the reception, and the overall decor is nice and modern. Front desk staff were...More
We were finishing a South Pacific cruise and decided to spend a couple of nights here. We had a bungalow over the lagoon. The hotel is associated with Westin Hotels and had the "heavenly bed". We still remember how terrific it was. There was a...More

Thank you for writing this kind review about Le Méridien Tahiti. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We would be more than happy to welcome you again in the future.
we only visited the hotel to have a nice lunch we were not disappointed, the setting was great even though it was damp we were offered a raincape, the service was very attentive and the food was excellent,
Wanted to give a higher rating, but I really can't. Hotel needs some renovation, and I wouldn't want to travel so far to spend a week here. We were upgraded to a larger room, but it was still outdated. Room smells moldy. AC doesn't really...More

They had the over water bungalows closed while we were there. We did see ? management looking at them one of the days however even if they are renovating them it will not affect you if staying at the hotel. The other comment re change your hotel.... we spoke to others on our cruise who stayed at hotels closer to Papeete and they were disappointed with so many things. We told them we loved the Le Meridien and showed them photos and believe me they wished they had stayed there. I would go back tomorrow without hesitation.
