stayed at the Sherwood for the weekend in June 2016, this hotel has a long tradition in Tela, I know it is at least 12 years old. I stayed in a double room, it had a bed big enough for 2 adulta and a smaller bed for 1 adult, small flat tv with cable, air conditioning, ceiling fan, balcony with...

I stay here every year for 2 weeks while on a Rotary trip. The hotel is clean and bright and the staff is wonderful. The hotel is right on the Tela beach and has a pool and restaurant with a full hot breakfast. Rooms are large and many have balconies.

We stayed there for 2 nights after 8 days spent in the interior. Beach front property with a small pool. There was a water fountain on the floor, very useful to refill your drinking water bottle. Fair size room with ocean view. Room was somewhat dark at night, not enough to read but this is the standard I have seen...

We traveled on a holiday weekend, *and* there was a wedding at the hotel, so it was maximum occupancy. This also meant the free wi-fi was next to useless, and you were only able to connect very late at night, or very early in the morning. The night of the wedding it was very loud. Shouting and music could be...

This is very nice hotel that couldn't get situated any closer to the water. The restaurant is a veranda that juts right onto the sand. So if you'd like a place where you can walk out of your hotel and straight into the ocean then this is a great pick for you! The staff is very accomodating and helpful. They...

I just finished a wonderful weeklong stay with a group of nurses and physicians working in Tela. Sherwood and his family and staff treated us like we were guests in their own home, feeding us fabulous food (lots of it!), and coming up with different ways to make our stay more pleasant. The hotel and restaurant is right on the...

This review reflects 12th stay at Hotel Sherwood. Last review in February 2012. Every stay has reflected an improvement in both physical plant and staff. Four stars represent Honduran standards. When compared to international standards, this is a three-star property. Since last review, most, if not all toilet/bathrooms have been completely renovated and the TVs have been replaced by flat...
