It's quite simply one of my favourite places to stay in India - if not the world! That sounds a bit fantastic perhaps - but I love it. For a start there are twenty acres of grounds with all sorts of wildlife - including a white rabbit hopping across the tennis court. There is history - both Colonial and Indian...

I really enjoyed the 2 weeks in Taj. There is a real service culture not only pretended but really lived by the hotel staff. And the premises, the park and pool and the 3 restaurants are another advantage of this hotel.

The Taj Westend is a lovely place to stay. The greenery is well maintained and makes you feel like you're out of the city, in a quiet and luxurious space. The service is amazing, and it warms the heart at the small gestures that they take care of. Thanks for making our stay so wonderful.

We had been here on my birthday, they had kept a cqke in the room. The hotel is very centrally located,it is not that royal or palacial but very authentic british property. Very well maintained. Their lobby and tourist guide were very helpful. We took their hitel tour and the guy very ncely explained us the legacy of this hotel. There...

the Taj holds a 99 year lease on this property and has done a nice job operating and keeping it up. (we also stayed at the Leela faux palace and it doesn't really compare). Neither Taj nor Leela are well placed, though at least Taj can walk or rickshaw to more of the center city, like Chickpet market. And there's...

Beautiful grounds, wonderful facilities in the centre of a city. Excellent food, but most of all, caring, helpful, genuine staff who can't do enough for you. Easy to get taxis or autos in the street if you don't have your own car. Convenient location for sightseeing or shopping. Try to take the Heritage Tour at 5pm, offered through the concierge...

This is our 3rd stay at Taj West end , Bangalore and we keep coming back with family at least once a year though we reside locally in Bangalore for the sheer extravagance of the heritage and the way its built sprawling to the 20 acres as it gives a great feel and satisfaction as if having traveled some where...

Without doubt the Taj West End is a green oasis in the heart of 'traffic city' bangalore. It boasts a 125 history and unfortunately still seems stuck in India's past. While hotels like the Shangri-la manage to keep up to date with bangalore's status as an IT capital, the Taj's service seems stuck in a lackadaisical and lacklustre old-india manner,...
