I agree with another reviewer - if you want five star modernity, this is not for you. If however you want a charming room, with antique furniture and a sense of timelessness, then I can recommend this hotel. We had upstairs rooms and as a group of friends travelling together we loved having the verandah outside our rooms as a...

We had an amazing stay at Old Courtyard! The building is colonial and extremely well decorated. The furnitures are excquisit, the courtyard is filled with flowers and the rooms cannot be cosier. Food is excellent as well, and staff very friendly. The located is perfect as it is right on Princes Street. Wow, we are SO going back!!!

I've been lucky enough to visit many hotels in many different countries at very different spectrums of the cost scale. I'm not sure if any have matched the honest, warm and genuine service that I received at The Old Courtyard... To cut a very long and protracted story into something manageable... lets just say that whilst on holiday and staying...

Dear Sir, Thank you for your review and feedback. Old Courtyard Hotel doesn't suit guests who prefer 5 star hotels but as you rightly said, it caters more to those who want a different atmosphere and ambiance. We do remember the ring and it did take a while to get it back to you due to rules of sending jewelry...

This is an older building, so if you are expecting polished marble floors then look elsewhere. If you are after a bit of character however you are at the right place! The room we booked was spacious, had air conditioning etc and we were generally very pleased with it. Everything within Cochin was within ease of walking distance which was...

My partner and I had booked this hotel as we weren't able to find bookings at the the erstwhile Grande Residencia. When we arrived there, the "duty manager" was a lil kid.i felt he should have been in school... well he definitely didnt look over 18. We were sent up to the room on the first floor. The room was...

Dear Sir, Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay with us. When we receive a negative feedback, it helps us to upgrade and improve our services to best serve the guests. You have stayed with us on April 12-14 in the Suite Room. It was unfortunate that a valued guest like you have been checked in by one of...

The building is beautiful, however you will be plagued by Mosquitos - so deet up! The food is below standard - however twice the price of other restaurants in fort kochi. Get out of the tourist area and don't waste your time or money eating here.

Dear Madam, We thank you for your review. With the tropical climate and thunderstorm season, it is inevitable that mosquitoes increase especially between 6:00-7:00 pm. Although regular pest control is done within non harmful limits, mosquitoes still come at sunset time. Regarding the food, your complain about the quality has been intimated to the chef. All of Fort Cochin is...

We stayed at a cheap hostel nearby and returned here almost every day to enjoy their delicious Apple Crumble, you have to try it! I consider going to Kochi next time I'm in India, just to go back here. The staff is really friendly and made our experience extra good. Live Indian music was played during dinner time, which was...

After hunting multiple cafe`s for a glass of cold coffee, we decided to go with this one. Because of off season, most of them were either closed or did not have cold coffee. I loved the cold coffee and sandwich. The interiors ooze with rustic charm. The service was tad slow but not too bad. We were not hassled by...

A beautiful old but small hotel , where we had one of the best rooms on then floor. It might not have. the most modern bathrooms but it is comfortable, quaint and very clean. This Hotel is supposed to be a 'Heritage' hotel. It is quiet quaint and does have 'old' written across it. Missing many basic features in the rooms. Power sockets are out dated don't seem to work. If running hot water is a factor than this may not be the hotel for you. We had booked to stay a number of...
