We arrived to a warm welcome from Anuja and shown around their beautiful home. The room we had was amazing, huge with a wonderful wooden ceiling with a study off, facing the vegetable garden. The food was out of this world, we were there for two days and felt we had been given a tour of Keralan food - exceptional!...

Having stayed in a number of very good hotels, guesthouses and clubs in a three week odyssey around Kerala and Tamil Nadu, Kalaketty Estate stood out as the best of the best. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat with welcoming and very generous hosts; clean, spacious and well appointed accommodation which reeks of history; superb meals (quite the...

Exceptionally spacious and comfortable accommodation set this property apart from your typical hotel. Beautifully appointed homestay with fantastic food. Adjacent to the family home and overlooking the estate, was interesting to learn about rubber production. Absolute peace and quiet was a welcome retreat from everyday life. For this reason would suit couples wanting to unwind and relax with not much...

A lovely large bedroom with ensuite and an extra room for sitting/lounging/writing in and tea and coffee making facilities. It was like coming to visit relations. We loved the accommodation, the food and the beautiful surroundings. The most special part of our stay was spending time with our...

Kalaketty is a great spot for those that like to get off the beaten track. We spent two night and enjoyed every minute. The tour of the estate and surrounding area was interesting, our room comfortable and the food outstanding. We enjoyed meeting the family and appreciate the effort they they put in to taking care of their guests.

Our hosts were delightful and we enjoyed our converstions with them greatly. We were only sorry our stay was for just one night. We were taken round the rubber plantation and shown honey production, and had a trip to the monastery. The meals were first class and beautifully served. Our bedroom was spectacular and vast, with its own varanda overlooking...

Situated on a rubber plantation, Kalaketty Estate is a very special home with superb guest accommodation. Our hosts, Kurian and Anuja, could not have been more welcoming. We only stayed for two nights but actually wished it could have been for much longer. We had a detailed tour of the rubber plantation, visited an apiary and tasted beautiful honey, went...

A beautiful house set in the owner's rubber plantation consisting of 2 beautiful large bedrooms with bathrooms in a private annex. The home cooked food is delicious and our host gave us a very informative tour of the plantation and also local village excursions. Delightful place to stay, highly recommended

Staying here at Kalaketty Estate was supposed to be the highlight and the most exciting part of my trip to India as far as my plans were concerned. It was in fact the low point in my trip through Southern Indian which included many wonderful places in both Tamil Nadu and Kerala; and this stay of two nights only particularly...
