This is like a "farmhouse stay" with modern comforts and very clean. A restored plantation house with modern bathrooms added to the rooms (and only 6 rooms). Swim in the pool, lay around or patronize the spa. You can walk around and look at the rubber trees. The elephant was unavailable without advance notice so be sure to confirm that...

This 1920's restored plantation house is beautiful. The decor is quite outstanding with very interesting bits of art work and furniture. Our room was incredible with the most spectacular bed you had to climb up to get onto it, definitely an antique. You feel very private and special with great attention from the staff. We had our meals on the...

This small quiet guest house has 6 bedrooms in a restored 1920's plantation house. A storm caused old trees to fall on the main house and the outdoor dining pavillion in May 2016 and the hotel only re-opened for business recently after restoration work. We were the only guests staying two nights at this hotel and it was a bit...

After a difficult year and two noisy days in Mumbai this was the perfect 36 hour break The drive from Kochi is an experience itself but the large comfortable Plantation house was a real treat The staff are attentive and looked us well We loved our time with LAKSHMI the elephant- we fed her, walked through rubber plantations and washed...

We stopped off on the way from Madurai to the Backwaters just for one night. The plantation house is a sight to behold with its modern colour schemes and art against a background of history and original features. We had a fanatastic lunch in a secluded area followed by some time in the gardens. There are only two Sun loungers...

Hello! Thanks for your comments about your Serenity experience. As you've noted, the plantation house is over 100 years old – and we took great pleasure in creating the design that retains authenticity while adding a modern flare. We appreciate your comments about the number of pool loungers. As you commented, there's an element of privacy when you choose to...

A bit of a backwater but what a place for some quiet solace and chill out to unwind after the madness of northern India. Only there for 2 nights but really enjoyed the stay - the excellent food - impeccable service - and one beautiful elephant - a trek around the small estate and village on Laxmi is not to...

Our stay here was a major disappointment and a waste of time. The accommodation can only be described somewhat generously as shabby chic. The electrics and bathroom fittings are archaic. There was no air conditioning in our room and for most of one evening there was no power at all. This is all explained as being an exercise in retaining...

So we stayed 2 nights here and arriving the property looks beautiful and the surrounding area. But that's about it. We had the room downstairs which had a nice big verandah which we used since it had a nice view of the gardens/pool. Pool looked murky and the whole place needs a huge renovation. Like the other guests mentioned, no...

The grounds are beautiful. The structure has class and innate history but the place lacks upkeep. So much in fact that we cut our stay short by a night. One of our rooms had no air conditioning. The toilet in one room was broken. Water ran sporadically and from the shower faucet, it came out rust colored. The pool was...
