Absolutely loved it here. It is literally on the edge of the national park and there is wildlife a-plenty. If you would like the chance for a close encounter with a family of macaques, birds of paradise, and giant flying bugs - then stay here! It's a 10-15 minute walk from the town through a friendly neighbourhood. The owners and...

It was my vacation trip with my family. The staff were friendly, hygienic and they were attending our request quickly. The interior and exterior appearance of the hotel was nice. The surrounding of the hotel was wonderful. The service of the hotel was good. The food and drink was not tasty. They provided all type of facilities like TV, AC,...

We had two great nights here on the edge of he jungle and the border of Tamil Nadu. Cheeky monkeys greeted us in the trees and also a Nilgiri Langur booming his call in the tree opposite. The room on the 2nd floor was huge and the bathroom too. We had an immense balcony where a delicious Keralan breakfast was...

Perfect accommodation for accessing Periyar national park, and has fantastic views of the jungle with lots if birds, monkeys and squirrels to see from the large balconies. We stayed in the room on top floor, which had good facilities. Mr Ramachandran is a brilliant host and brought us tasty and interesting kerala dishes everyday for breakfast and dinner.

What a wonderful experience! Right on the edge of Periyar National Park and surrounded by tall jungle trees with macaques, black monkeys, and malabar giant squirrels present continuously - either feeding on the jack fruit or in the case on the macaques bounding across the roof. We stayed for 5 nights in the only room on the top floor, with...

I loved staying here. We had a room on the top floor and we had a fantastic view of the surrounding jungle and the wildlife, including giant squirrels, loads of monkeys, birds and lizards. The room was very clean and comfortable and we had the cleanest bathroom I have seen in India. Mr Ramachan was a delightful host, incredibly friendly...

We loved Jungle View. Some reviews refer to basic rooms, but we had the generously sized, spotlessly clean, uppermost room surrounded by a huge netted terrace where we could sit at tree top level and enjoy the antics of the monkeys - as new faces we were fair game, whereas our host, Mr Ramachandran, was the boss! We saw the...

We stayed at the Jungleview Homestay for 4 nights to explore the Cardamon Hills and Spice plantations in the Western Ghats of Kerala. The Homestay was positioned right on the border with Tamil Nadu, the garden fence is actually part of the border! The owners Ramachandran and his wife were very welcoming, the room was spacious, clean and had a...

The room was very basic and bare, and (western) breakfast was also quite plain (as we were not asked if we wanted Keralan breakfast) so our night's stay was looking very average.... However, the owner was great and took great pride and was very enthusiastic to show us his part of the forest with monkeys, giant squirrels, elephant tracks and...
