What an absolute delight to stay at this resort. The cottages were immaculate at tastefully decorated. My friend and I both had superb massages and felt exceeding rejuvenated afterwards. The food on offer was good, but a warning...BEWARE OF THE BONES in your food. In most cases travelling around India it appears that this is the norm using all of...

Spice Village, like all CGH Earth properties, is immaculate. The small bungalows have a great deal of charm - take care to keep the mosquito doors and grilles firmly closed at all times - and the gardens and grounds are gorgeous. It is, however, firmly situated in Kumily, so not isolated. We liked this, and our bungalow was far enough...

We stayed here for three nights in one of the Deluxe Villa huts - basically a small, thatched bungalow with bedroom, large and modern bathroom and a large sitting room. All plainly and not awfully comfortably furnished in a style that matched the thatched huts theme. We were surprised to find the hotel on the edge of a town with...

If you like it pure and natural this is for you. The simple, but very comfortable, bungalows are set out as a village amid a huge variety of flora and fauna. Make sure you go on the guided walk within the grounds then do it again later by yourself. The exsquisite food is prepared by enthusiastic chefs with a stream...

Very lovely property with lovely thatched roof bungalows with great cross ventilation. Indigenous trees throughout the well manicured grounds are lovely and labeled for interest. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Spice Village is an eco resort in the hills(thekkady) near the Periyar wildlife sanctuary. A cluster of tribal style huts set in a beautiful spice garden is a great escape for most tourists from the heat of the plains, and also a great place for some adventure activities. We have a comfortable pool, an ayurvedic spa, we organise treks into the forest, bamboo rafting and many more. A walk through the property itself is a great way to explore many aspects of nature and the green initiatives undertaken at this eco resort. ... more   less
