We stayed there only one night so my review is based on that. Rooms were clean and there were nice balconies with sea view in front of the rooms. The location is really great, not far from the beach and in the middle of the restaurant/shopping area. There was also availability to yoga at the rooftop but didn't have opportunities... More

Basic, cheap and cheerful, good value for money. Room was large and clean, clean linen, large bathroom with shower - our room had aircon as well as fan and was very cool and pleasant, bed quite comfortable. Balcony outside room with great views of beach/cliffs, balconies were "sectioned" by low walls and we were able to keep in touch with... More

I found this hotel from the lonley planet and gave them a call to book a room. As it was low season i got an amazing deal where i paid 499 a night. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. The bathroom was also clean and big. Did need to ask them to givemy room a clean,... More

Varkala is one of those hippy backpacker hangout resorts that all countries in Asia seems to have at least one of. There are several accomodations perched along the clifftop. I would recommend this one for those who like the cheap and very cheerful. The rooms are basic but very clean and the comfort is adequate. However the view over the... More

We were lucky enough to get rooms for the seven of us upstairs on the second floor. The balcony, which has views to die for, was ideal for a group like ours because it was sectioned but still enabled us to get together. The Hill Palace gets the breeze so we did not need to airconditioning - fans sufficed. The... More

I stayed at the Palace Resort for three weeks while having ayurvedic treatments at a nearby clinic. I stayed by myself (single woman). The staff (three or four young guys who slept at the hotel) were always courteous and helpful. I felt safe and my room secure. The set up is very simple but clean and pleasant. The rooms are... having already spent a night at Bamboo House (I have posted a review already) and walked out in disgust we stumbled upon this one by walking along the cliff. It's fairly self service though there is normally someone hanging around, but here's what it has going for it... 1) Quiet location a few minutes walk further along the cliff edge... More
