Fantastic welcome at this lovely house close to the cliffs at Varkala. We were given a really helpful tour of the area which really helped to get our bearings. The rooms are themed and wonderfully clean and welcoming - there is a great roof terrace where you can hang out or meet with other interesting people. The breakfasts were good...

Without a doubt, the owner Debra arranged festival and other visits which we would otherwise would never have seen. 15000 women all cooking at the same time was the highlight and other than Debras guests not another tourist in sight...

This was a return visit and I had a great time. Debra and team offer exceptional hospitality and I had a fantastic time and great fun, even fitting in seeing a couple of local festivals. Many, many thanks again and all I can do is plan when I can make it back for a third visit!

I booked our fligh to arrive in Cochin but this is not the nearest airport to Kaiya house. So there is a 5 hour taxi transfer. I should have booked to arrive at Trivandrum international airport which is much nearer. Now I know this it would have been better to perhaps break the journey up and stay overnight along the...
