We had one of the non-ac detached cottages which was very well designed and very comfortable, with a verandah on which to relax. It overlooked a grassed area and up to the path along the front to Varkala Cliff. You couldn't actually see the sea because of the tsunami wall. The property is very clean and well maintained. The staff...

Our stay here was so perfect and restful. The staff are very attentive and the room was my favourite out of everywhere we stayed in India. As it's far from the other beach, you basically have a beach to yourself which is incredible! The hammocks and the sun loungers are a great place to while away a few hours. The...

Visited in December 2016. Booked directly through Cottages. Small, very neat and comfortable cottage resort. Nice managers (run by two brothers), which are always very attentive to their customers. Any accommodation problems (if any) are quickly fixed. No problem with hot water or mosquitoes. Everyday room cleaning. Not bad lunch and dinner in own restaurant. Breakfast is somewhat limited of...

This is a small resort with a really personal touch. The owner and staff were really, really helpful with day to day stuff during our stay as well as sorting out travel arrangements for us. It's within walking f=distance of the main resort at Varkala but on a much quieter (and nicer) beach and far enough away to be a...

During our visit, there was a construction going on in one of the adjacent roads of the hotel and we were personally taken by the hotel guys in their car to the hotel avoiding the route where the construction was going...

This place is perfect if you're looking for a get away from hustle bustle of the city. A walk along the shore takes you to uber cool shacks which gives a European feel to the place. Staff here is extremely helpful and leave no stones unturned to make their guests comfortable. Highly recommended !

Cottages are located at the bottom of the cliff down a bumpy dirt track, however, taxis and tup tups manage to manoeuvre with ease. tip, use Maadathil tup tup drivers as the cottages are hard to find and they know where to avoid the potholes. The drivers will collect you from wherever you are and are reasonable cost With the...

The trio brothers running this resort ensure that the word hospitality is truly lived by example. Extremely clean rooms with close proximity to the beach , makes this place a heaven in Varkala area at a nominal price. They customize food requirements as well and ensure that specific needs are addressed. Speacial thanks to Ganesh and Neymar the folks working...

This place was perfect for my needs - quiet, on the beach, friendly staff, clean, detached cottages. I travelled in early November and the sand for the beach outside the cottages was just arriving. (It is usually there November through March) But there were swimmable (with care) beaches a scenic 5 minute walk away. I experienced no jellyfish, which had...
