I spent almost two months in wonderful Bohemian Masala. Why? I can only think about that song the Eagles sings "you can check out any time you like but you never leave".. This green oasis of peacefulness immediately felt like a home to me. I was surrounded by a green lush garden who gave shadow from the heat and nice...

After a little trouble trying to find the hotel we finally arrived for our two day stay. This hotel is perfect for relaxing. The room was well proportioned and had everything that we needed. As we visited towards the end of the season the hotel was quite with very few guests. The staff were very friendly and happy to meet...

A beautiful property with huts surrounding a garden. Great attention to detail. I loved the lighting at night and sitting out on my porch. Has a great sense of calm and privacy. It's close to the cliff with all the shops and restaurants and action, and when you come back from sightseeing or the beach or dinner or whatever, you...

It is so peaceful with very helpful staff. For breakfast we were offered an option of Eggs and toast or Indian dishes. We got a massage as well at the inhouse...

This is a lovely hotel with a very individual feel. It was very quiet whilst we were there but we weren't in peak season. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the middle of the Varkala cliff area. Really easy to access the restaurants and just a little further to the main beach. Great place to stay on a...

We had been recommended this place by friends who told us the accommodation was quirky, clean and picturesque. They were right. We enjoyed waking up to the sounds of birdsong and having our breakfast served to our hut. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive and genuine concern was shown when I made it aware I was feeling slightly unwell...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It's another world, the Varkala beach resort. Built around the eco-concept, it borrows its architecture from the natural science of the tribals. The handmade cottages made with mud, clay and flowers ensure maximum natural energy air flow, translate that into cool even during summer. In the midst of a thick green cover, and a 5-minute walk from the cliffs and the beach, V Resorts Bohemian Masala stands apart from the other beach resorts in Varkala. The resort promising all the sensual pursuits of a traveller, such as traditional temples, beaches, an eclectic food scene, as well as Ayurvedic massages, is ideal for a peaceful, tranquil vacation. Lounge around in the hammocks in peace and quiet, sample the traditional Kerala fare, walk around its herb and spice garden, or just sit around and meet interesting travellers from across the world. Those times, when you do feel like a walk, step out and hit the beach, indulge in water sports, or try your skills at surfing. ... more   less
