My family and I stayed in their cabin the week after Christmas. This place and our hosts FAR exceeded our expectations and hopes for the perfect mountain get a way! We arrived with about 8 inches of snow on the ground and they had the path clear, the fire place going, and a whole pile of wood ready! Mrs Mary...

We spent a whole week in the cabin and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was winter, there was a lot of snow, but the surroundings are so beautiful that it didn't matter. Our hosts were so friendly, helpful, that we totally felt at home. The breakfast were delicious too! It was a week of great rest and peace. An amazing vacation!...

We stayed two nights in the separate cabin, which was very comfortable and had all the kitchen items we needed to prepare our own dinners. Breakfasts with Mary Ann and Lawrence, and the other guests, was a great opportunity to visit and learn about the area. Lawrence and Mary Ann are great sources of information and entertaining stories. The fishing...

This was one of the best vacation destinations in which we have ever stayed! WOW! The genuine hospitality of Mary Ann and Lawrence is a gateway to the historic Valle Vidal and the unique Rio Costilla Park. We'll be back!

Mary Ann and Lawrence are the ideal B&B Innkeepers, friendly from the moment you meet them, interested and interesting. Lawrence can tell some great stories. The breakfast and available dinner is not only prepared by them but shared with them which makes the stay special. The Inn is their home and every detail is wonderful. The location is gorgeous with...

Our hosts at MW Bar Ranch have deep life experience with New Mexico city life as well as hunting and fishing in the Valle Vidal Unit, formerly a private Pennzoil preserve, and now Carson National Forest. We stayed in the large main log cabin style house, upstairs, with large bedroom and private tub/shower bath. Our hosts served two excellent breakfasts...

The best accommodations, the best food, the best scenery, the best hospitality, and absolutely the best and nicest people you would ever want to meet. Lawrence and Mary Ann treat you like family and will make you feel more at home than you do in your own home. Simply the best place you could possibly stay. Anywhere. Joe Billingsley Fort...

What a wonderful setting, comfortable accommodations and gracious hosts! We enjoyed a late fall weekend stay with Mary Ann and Lawrence in their spacious cabin set at the edge of the Rio Costilla and the Valle Vidal wilderness areas. The crisp fall air, vibrant changing colors of the trees, and the cozy cabin with its wood-burning stove provided a romantic...

After hiking most of the state, we got to explore the area around Amalia this fall thanks to the delightful (and hugely informative) Lawrence and Mary Ann. The cabin, ranch, breakfast, company, and overall environment were just perfect. When I expect to cook somewhere I usually bring things from my own kitchen, as they will not be present in the...

When we arrived, MW Bar Ranch was bathed in the golden sunlight of a late New Mexico summer afternoon. This initial vision of the picturesque sprawling ranch aptly reflects our stay there in mid-August. It was our third visit in the past few years and each time I treasure more the peace and quiet, the many homey comforts, the thoughtfulness...
