We stayed two nights at Shanti House and were looked after very well by Gouri and his wife. As many other review have said, Gouri and his family are very welcoming and kind people and you will feel very 'at home' there. Gouri took us early in the morning on his motorcycle to get some traditional Bikaner food and offered...

Highly recommended, if you're interested in real-life Bikaner! Gouri and his wife are very welcoming and kind people, they make you feel at home in their tiny & cosy haveli, with small but nice rooms, and a cute, lovely rooftop. Gouri is an excellent guide who worked with professional photographers, and he can introduce you to the old city, to...

Shanti guest house was a fantastic place to stay! The house is uniquely decorated with painted murals left by previous guests and old-timey/retro nik naks (Such as an antique embroidered vest and an old fashioned record player). All of this lends the place a very homey feel and makes staying here a pleasure, as you can't get bored with the...

We had a wonderful time staying in this very welcoming family in Bikaner. Gouri the owner was extremely helpful in keeping us busy around the city, showing us all the sights, explaining many things about the local people and culture, and being informative concerning logistics and other travel matters. The house is small and pretty the rooftop has good views...

Gouri who runs Shanti house is very willing to guide you around Bikaner old town. He is relaxed, helpful and informative. We did not stay at the guest house, but Gouri is certainly worth contacting for a guided walk, or other information and advice.

Owned by a welcoming family and centrally located inside the old city, Shanti House was ok for a night or two. It seemed overpriced considering the condition of the room, however. I fully agree with Wout v's assessment.

The family is nice and welcoming. The room is OK, basic and not very clean; overpriced in our opinion (we had room with ac, other rooms are cheaper). Food is OK too (our thali was served cold though). Also, we were send on a tour through Bikaner which was arranged by Gouri. This also included some shops of which we...

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The owners are very nice and extremely helpful, happy to make us a cup of chai and assisted me in buying a present I was looking for. Location is right in the old city, which was perfect for us. Room was clean and wifi was good during my stay. Would definitely stay again.

Staid at Shanti House for my time in Bikaner. Very good location, able to cross to the Old City easily. Gouri and his wife were very helpful in providing knowledge of area as well as being accommodating. Cosy room, WiFi, and safe! Couldn't ask for anymore, highly recommend for a stay in Bikaner.
