Stayed for 2 nights on our final stop in Rajasthan. Hotel was on the high end of our budget, but worth the extra expense. - Location: ideal location within the fort, great views from the rooftop and room - Room: small balcony overlooking the city, nicely decorated, comfortable size - Staff: everyone was very pleasant and helpful - Free Wifi:...

Oh Garh Jaisal! How does one sum up this unique place that holds the best position inside the fort and a special place in our hearts? I have read complaints about the cleanliness of this hotel, lack of hot water etc and my advice is if you want a modern hotel with full facilities then stay outside the fort in...

The location in the old fort is just great: our room had a balcony that had great views from the fort walls out over the old town. We liked being in the old fort - lots of places to eat, right by the palace and the temples, and only a few minutes walk down the hill to the old town....

The success of any business depends on those three things; this place certainly has them. Lonely Planet refuses to list any hotels within the fort walls - the Garh Jaisal is right in it with good views out over the fort and the surrounding town. So if you're not concerned about the damage being inflicted on the fort's structure, this...

This hotel is cramped ; the room is in a typical Rajastani haveli fashion - very cliched - n the bathroom was a bit dirty ,terrible tiles, had a bucket n the bathroom gets completely wet when you have a shower.., there's no partition ,...

I chose this hotel for it's location and price. I noticed also that it had a 4-star rating so my choice was made. I was so surprised by this property and would gladly recommend it to anyone. The staff was excellent, the lobby and bar/breakfast roof area were lovely, but best of all were the rooms. They were very nicely...

I have been wanting to write a review for long. Travelled to Jaisalmer in November 2012. Chose this hotel after reading TA reviews. Frankly all hotels inside the fort are really not worth it. The approach is filthy, lanes are small and it is very difficult to find the hotel. The hotel is small 6-7 rooms. The room names actually...

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in this wonderful hotel, beautifully run by several boys from Nepal. The hotel is part of the still lived-in fort, so has quirky features, but is a fantastic place to stay in Jaisalmer. We had a large, comfortable room, with a window seat which had a fabulous view of the city, decorated with...

Situated at the topmost level inside the fort, the location is wonderful. Rooftop restaurant offers panoramic views of Jaisalmer, although it was rather windy at lunch. We had to park our Car at the Car Park just inside the Fort's entrance, and take a 3 wheeler auto-rickshaw up to the hotel for INR 50/- (the climb is rather steep to...
