Although this room is very basic...you are staying in the only occupied fort in India. Its pretty spectacular. The view from the room was amazing and looked over the desert. The shower and toilet worked fine and on a while the room was clean. Loved the rooftop restaurant. The food and view was fantastic. Don't miss out on the sunset... More

The room was clean, the bed was hard but I discovered most of the budget hotels were, the shower was hot, the desert safari amazing. The staff and service were first class and the roof top eating was glorious and cheap. The staff were genuinely interested in learning about you as it gave them a chance to practice their English.... The rooms vary quite a bit in size and comfort but the hotel is inside the old fort with spectacular views of the city. Most rooms are large, with big hard beds and cooling provided by ceiling fans.Staff are friendly and good cheap meals are served in the rooftop restaurant. Free wifi is available in the lobby.

Such a unique opportunity to stay within the fortress town of Jaisalmer. The network of winding cobbled streets and lanes led us to Hotel Deepak. Clean, spacious rooms decorated with local artefacts are located on various levels as you ascend the spiralling stairs. At the top is the restruant which not only serves good, wholesome and reasonably priced meals but... More

Just slightly along some winding paths but you cant get lost! Food and drink are plentiful here, the staff are wonderful and helpful and dont push you to take trips or excursions. Rooms are good and clean - the best part is the roof - you can see right over the desert and the rest of Jaisalmer Deepak is on... More

Few good things about the room are its location and price. The rooms were nice, neat and large with city view. The food we had was one of the better food we ahd in Jaisalmer. We were not pushed for anything and were provided a free pick up from station. Mr Deepak was helpful and polite and helped us with... More

Situated off a quiet courtyard within Jaisalmer fort, this was a great place to stay. Very steep steps from floor to floor (better suited to a rucksack than a large case) - leading to huge rooms which were tastefully decorated. As with many hotels in India, beware of the bathroom floor when it's wet. Only downside was lack of hot... More

The room was spacious with separate sitting area and huge balcony through beautiful wooden doors that folded open to create amazing indoor/outdoor space. Staff super friendly and helpful and wifi available in lobby. Located a short stroll to the centre of Fort and temple and close to shops and great places to eat. Recommend the comfortable walk out of Fort... More

I stayed here with an organised tour group. The hotel is well placed in the fort and makes for an easy stroll to the temples and palace. I can't remember the number of my room but it certainly wasn't the ones in the pictures which some of my tour group had stayed in. The room I had was a twin... More
