WelcomHeritage Bal Samand Lake Palace is a fleeting distance of 5 kilometers from the city of Jodhpur. It is located on the Mandore Road, overlooking the astounding still and clear Balsamand Lake. It is indeed a true spectacle of a view. The heritage property is built in red sandstone & employs typical ornate Rajput architecture. It is conceived to be the summer residence of the Jodhpur Maharajas in the glorious past. The Bal Samand Lake was artificially created in the 13th century as a water reservoir that supplied drinking water to the city. It now compliments the lush greens and heritage terraced gardens of the property.

Oh, my word … Balsamand Lake Palace was EXACTLY the place I needed to unwind, relax, and recharge after 2-1/2 weeks of frantic shopping, going to the Rajasthan Desert Festival, and getting fitted for clothes suitable for an upcoming royal wedding. Acres of green, expansive,

The two things that cover-up well for the poor Front Office experience are: 1. Awesome service at the restaurant. Manned by seniors sporting white beard & white hair, the restaurant offers glimpse of Rajasthani hospitality. 2. Serene, tranquil surroundings with ample

Its true the "garden rooms" are a long row of converted stables (as is obvious from the photos), , but inside they are spacious and stylish, and well maintained. We looked at the palace itself , but were not overly impressed. I believe even if you stay up there you come back to

Dear Guest, Khamaghani Thank you for taking out your valuable time to share your experience on Trip Advisor community. The rooms are build under the arches which were originally built to support the aqueduct flowing above the rooms. The duct used to carry water to the walled city to be used by the residents. They are tastefully designed into rooms with all modern facilities. Bal Samand Lake Palace built in the 17th century was more than just a residence to the Royal Family of Jodhpur who celebrate the first rains here. The Palace now houses 10 suites done luxuriously in authentic Jodhpur style. Appreciate your gracious comments complimenting the front desk team, my entire team is greatly humbled by your words of praise. I acknowledge your feedback regarding your dinning experiences and offer my sincere apologies for the same. Your continuous patronage is of utmost importance to us & It would be a a great pleasure to welcome you all back & have you stay with us again in not so far away future. Thanks and Regards Priti Sharma

Two of us are staying in the garden rooms which are very disappointing and substandard to anything we have stayed in whilst in India. The rooms are tired and very basically decorated. I think it’s clean but because it is so tired it doesn’t appear so. You have no views, few

Dear Guest, Khamaghani Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Please accept our sincere apologies for your experience during your stay. We respect your personal opinion about our Garden Room. The Bal Samand Lake Palace reflect a tradition of the love for beautiful landscapes, creating elegant oasis which is an escape from the hustle bustle of the city. We are pleased noting you thought of the well maintained lawns, the credit for which goes to our horticulture manager. We request you to give us an opportunity to do this. I would personally be most grateful if you would give us another opportunity to showcase the actual Bal Samand hospitality. We look forward to welcome you back to Bal Samand Lake Palace. Thanks & Regards Priti Sharma

We were expecting to be in a palace but were in the stables. Very small rooms but very clean. A pity everyone walks by your room all the time as they go to the restaurant and back. The restaurant has good service and also has an outside barbecue on some nights. Indian food OK.

Dear Guest, Khamaghani It was a pleasure to have you stay with us during your trip to India. I appreciate the time you spent sharing your experience. Bal Samand Lake Palace built on 60 acres is the original heritage property and was supposed to be more than a Summer - Monsoon Retreat for the Royal Family of Jodhpur. We are unique and very proud of the historical property we inherit. Our guests enjoy the ample opportunity given by the serene settings and beautiful gardens. We are happy noting your kind words appreciating the gardens, the lake, clean rooms and the service. Your concern has been well noted for further action. Thanks & Regards Priti Sharma
