We stayed at the Rangniwas Palace Hotel for 3 nights on our Indian road trip . The hotel is in a really good location we walked to Hathipol Market , The City palace , boat trip wharf and rope way/ cable cart well not all on same day . The gardens are beautiful and peaceful and has a good size pool. The rooms great deco , staff are really experienced knowledgable and friendly . The breakfasts were really good local Indian cuisine , obviously some English options but we only had traditional Indian for breakfast . Chef and table service very good and friendly . Plus close to good roof top restaurants for evenings out walking distance .

The place is run with an air of old world gentility which is such a relief and helps you slip into a great comfort zone. While there is well trained staff but the family is also involved, if required, who are great hosts. An approach of unobtrusive help and support is terrific for the guests. The food is brilliantly executed to perfection whether it be Western or Indian cuisine. The City Palace and the Lake Pichola are walking distance which makes it so easy to get to without the usual local travel/parking hazards. I would love to just hang out here basking in the sun.

We were travelling for 12 days around Rajasthan and this had the best service of any hotel we stayed in. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly manager who made us feel at home and gave us a map of the city. Throughout the stay, all the staff went out of their way to help us and make us comfortable. Food in the restaurant was great, garden area was nice, and the room had a very charming, historical feel. It got a bit cold at night but the blankets were really warm. Location is perfect, a ten minute walk away from the centre of the city (Jagdish temple), but that means it's closer to the boating jetty and the best sunset viewpoint. Would definitely recommend staying here!

There's a touch of faded grandeur about the place, but it is comfortable enough and is in a good spot close to the City Palace entrance. The owner is a very friendly chap. He runs an efficient ship, and is always keen to please. He organised laundry and airport transport. Staff are similarly friendly. We had breakfast once during our four night stay at the hotel's outdoor restaurant. It was fine, but we preferred to venture out and eat somewhere a bit warmer! On the minus side: - wifi wasn't great - security at night was often seemingly absent (or at best well hidden) and we had a few issues getting our key at bedtime. Rangniwas is a good option for people looking for a colonial-style experience without paying through the nose.

Rangniwas is a relatively small, stylish hotel in a old residence, few steps away from the City Palace entrance. It’s very central, therefore don’t expect a quiet area around it, even if at night you can rest well. The rooms have been recently restored with a contemporary taste and good materials. They have the best bathrooms we have found in a 3 weeks trip in India! Breakfast is well prepared, all is cooked upon request, all fresh. It is served in the garden and they arranged some heaters to overcome the cold Winter. Heaters are available also in the rooms. It’s the only hotel that gave us a map of the city explaining the best places to explore without asking. The owner is a very kind person. We would definitely recommend it!

Its an old/heritage property with modern comforts. It is very well located with many attractions in walkable distance. They have swimming pool, garden and a small outdoor dining area with rooms around. Being on one of the busy roads, traffic noise could be a problem, if you are looking for quite place. Otherwise, nice place to stay at.

The hotel is exactly as described on the website & we felt at home from the minute we arrived. A lovely garden, clean comfortable rooms, wifi is ok, aircon worked, pool and gardens are lovely and the restaurant is cheap and convenient. There are small street food vendors and stores across the road. Definitely recommend staying here

The Rangniwas Palace Hotel is conveniently located near to the main bazaar as well as the city palace and the lake Pichola all of which are walking distance. The place exudes an old world though the rooms have all modern amenities. The swimming pool is certainly a plus point.

Loved our stay at the Rangi was . We stayed in a large suite ( a bit extra) which had a fridge , tea and coffee facilities, two balconys with beds on them. Its set in beautiful grounds and has a nice pool which was a welcome relief from the heat. We were quite awestruck when we arrived it was like stepping back in time or a movie set . Very impressed. The rooms are a tad dated, but that adds to the charm . Lying on the balcony day bed and watching the staff and guests was better than any movie . The food was lovely especially the chicken curry and mango lassi. We ate in in the awning on the grounds and felt like royalty . A big thank you to the management for helping us arrange a taxi to Pushkar when we all got flu and for putting up with us while we decided which rooms we wanted .. There was plenty if eateries nr by and a short walk to city palace etc.
