I have paid for my entire expense at Vivanta Coimbatore and below are my collective thoughts which might help someone who plans a trip and accommodation in Vivanta Coimbatore
Feedback ******************* 1. The Hotel delivered the characteristics of (a) family/kids friendly staffs (b) clean/tidy/serviced rooms everyday (c) decent mix races of country nationals (d) center location connects to many places in Coimbatore
2. Safe environment to use while you stay with family and kids
3. Staffs are able to give rational advises/guidance/direction while we explored local places
4. Restaurant food menu was fantastic : delivered a mix of Indian/Asian/Euro/US Cuisines which my family liked a lot
5. Restaurant staffs were very attentive and responsive (Special thanks to Srijith, Few Female Staffs, Yaswanth, Debbasiah, Cheffs who delivered Dosa/Poori/Naan and other dishes, All to Name who gave icecreams and good food menus etc) : voluntarily took my family's requests and delivered timely without delays
6. Reception staffs are good : (special thanks to Badran) - staffs give spot on suggestions/recommendation and deliver them
7. Swimming Pool followed No Dive Policy : disturbance from pool view inside the room was negligible
8. Security Personal : Around 4AM i was going out receive family guests and i saw 5+ personal AWAKE and guarding reception/lobby lift all the way till main gate
Additionally Security personal offered friendly hands (offloaded bags, scanned the bags, Sent bags to reception, Loaded bags to vehicles, smiley faces and good communication)
9. All female masseuse were fully booked while my family reached for appointment, so our advise : while making room booking - request for an masseuse appointment before you arrive to the hotel

I usually request a room on a high floor away from the elevator - the rooms are clean, well furnished and quiet. The views of the city and the mountains in the distance are wonderful. When we visited it was a very busy period, but the whole Vivanta team were amazing! Tells a million words about the culture they imbibe in each employee. Well done!! It started from the service we received while making the reservation. Our 5 year old got a room booked in his name!! lol!! I feel terrible for forgetting her name, but she was super sweet and even ensured our check in was good after we did. And didn’t forget to have a chat with our younger son again. One thing that definitely stood out was how they managed a very busy breakfast period. We were allotted a table as soon as we arrived. We stayed there for more than an hour. The crowd kept coming and through that entire period, we didn’t see a queue waiting. Nor was anyone rushed to finish. Nor was there an ounce of hesitation when we requested some later orders. The quality and taste of food was outstanding even when refilled or ordered again. On top of this the number of items on the buffet would beat most of the lunch buffet menus I have seen till date, covering a diverse range of cuisines. The stay was equally delightful. The room service was prompt even late in the night or early in the morning. Everyone was extremely polite and friendly. We had a doubt setting the temperature and the AC technicians were there in 5 mins. It was worth every penny that we paid, and this is also located in the heart of the city. We have made up our minds not to stay anywhere else the next time we are in the city. Thank you very much Vivanta team!!!

5 star for many reasons Location-Security-Breakfast with number of healthy options- Well equipped gym- swimming pool.
My primary reason for giving 5 star is the helpful and welcoming nature of majority of the staff. The number of healthy option provided in the breakfast spread was definitely a winning formula in this health conscious world. We have stayed in many hotels compared to them Vivanta Taj Coimbatore has got many things right. I think under the stewardship of current GM Mr Peter Nirmal The hotel is moving in the right direction. I want to give a shout to some background staff particularly Premananthi at the restaurant who made our daily visit for the breakfast a pleasant experience with her welcoming smile and patient service. Ranaprasad also extremely helpful. I also want to compliment two boys from the housekeeping department who made sure our room was always cleaned to the highest standard. Despite so much work you always attended to our need with a smile. You guys are really a credit to to this hotel.

My second stay and I had zero expectations as my first stay was not up to the mark. Although I was told my next stay will be seamless, no one seemed to even acknowledge my return. The pre checkin handled by Nitin was a nightmare. The check in by a lady was as cold as ice. The luggage took over an hour to reach the room. In the evening a whole fruit platter was sent without a knife. Had to ask for basics like ear buds, coffee sachets as the supplies kept were very minimalistic. Felt like we are back in the post covid era. Pillows were not upto the mark. It took 4 calls and since I was adamant that I need one, I had to wait of over an hour to get scissors. The excuse was guests take it and never return. Chk out was also not smooth. The only highlight of the stay is the South Indian Breakfast.

We stayed in Vivanta Coimbatore for more than 4 weeks in Feb & March.. Initially the first 3 weeks went fine but the 4th week really made us leave the hotel. I checked in at 11:30 pm and despite checking in so late, the least you expect is the room to be done. most of the bulbs of my room, no bath robe, few of the washroom fitting were not working, privacy option was disabled. The telephone next to the bed was not working as well so for basic things I had to walk to the study at night to make a call. For each call which I had to make, I had to walk to my working desk at odd hours and then make a call. When I complained at the reception they offered me to change the room – again at 12 am in the night how is that feasible. Please understand that your guests are tired and we expect basic checks to be done before handing out the rooms to us.
Next day morning some supervisor – Das Prakash came to my room and assured to fix the issues. After he left, within 20 min – 5 different people rang the bell asking about the problems already highlighted to him. Being a supervisor, can he not manage his team better by passing on the instructions? I was so tired after the mess on Monday night that I was trying to get some rest in the morning but this constant bell ringing was so annoying that I could not even rest. Also please note that my ‘privacy’ switch was disabled. I was eventually so frustrated that I called him again and asked him to instruct his team to leave me in peace and that he can fix everything in the afternoon once I have left. But again to my disappointment, when I back the next night at 11:45 pm – nothing was fixed. At night when I again called the reception, Nitin was arguing with me saying that we offered you to change the room. Are you even serious? At 12 am you are asking me to change the room – is that even a feasible option. I did not want to argue with him cos I found it a waste of my time and energy.
Since no one could not really help much including the supervisor (don’t know what he supervises though) Today I finally asked someone from the reception to send the electrician and had him repaired everything – which took one hour of my ‘me’ time. With so many people in the room, it got really difficult. We had some minor issues with the breakfast as well but it was eventually fixed. When my colleague & I (both females) complained about this matter to the GM of the hotel, he literally insulted and humiliated us saying that this is his best service and that we are free to move to any other hotel of our preference. Surprisingly, his team members are now apologizing to us and asking us to come back even when he literally asked us to leave. Its obvious that we won't go back and stay in the hotel because we are satisfied with our stay in ITC which is a more environment friendly hotel with polite staff and take feedback constructively and work upon it.
Its quite sad to see that Taj being headed by people who have no cognizance to give respect to their guests.

We were told that the luggage will come along with us and it came after 20 mins ( we had to make a call asking for our luggage). Today went out at 9.30am requesting for room cleaning and when we returned ten mins back (4.45pm) we see that no room cleaning has been done. On asking the reception, we get a reply saying sorry it will be done now ! Curing sitting in the corridor waiting for the room to be cleaned. Didn’t expect this kind of service in a 5 star hotel.

I was checked in as a single... so don’t know. However, I’m sure in this day and age, even in India, you okay. Only place I know this to be a problem is parts of the Middle East..
There are more places to choose from in the Coimbatore area.
